'Such a beautiful day'
CRASH
'Obviously not for long...' I stood from my desk and ran from the room, the commotion sounded like it came from Yumi's room.
'Yumi? YUMI!' I ran to my brothers side, Yumi was on his back, his skin was a shade so pale, it was practically blue. He was breathing in quick, shallow gasps. 'Yumi, please...' Tears started rolling down my cheeks and landing on his icy skin.
'Aw, the pathetic human's crying. Weak.' I snapped my head around at the voice; a small pale boy, couldn't have been more than twelve, was stood on Yumi's windowsill. He has a ball of purple light in one hand, and in the other - why, I don't know - he had a jellyfish.
'What did you do to Yumi?' the boy smirked and bared his teeth, 'Tell me!'
'Why should I tell a weak human like you? But I will,' I sighed in relief, but it got caught in my throat as the boy continued, 'Because it'll pain you more.' I clenched my jaw as the boys grin widened, 'this,' he gestured to the ball of light he held, 'Is his spirit. Without it, he will, eventually, die.' I gasped and the boy let out a high pitched, cold laugh.
'W-what are you doing?' The boy was lifting the two items in his hands up into the air, he had an evil glint in his eye.
'Heh... FUSION!' He smashed the two together and a blindingly bright light exploded from his hands, forming the shape of a human figure. As I looked closer, I gasped, the figure was clearly Yumi, but he was... deformed.
His legs had lengthened, much longer than my own, and they'd buffed out, the same went for his chest, he wore only dark feathers, but the muscle on his body was clearly visible. Coal-like wings hung limp by his side, held down by his arms. His face was what gave him away, the crystalline blue eyes that I envied so much were present in a mass of black feathers, above an ebony beak.
'What did you DO?!' I screamed at the child, I stood, picking the real Yumi's limp body off of the floor and cradling it in my arms, and started backing away towards the door.
'Ah, ah, ah, don't want to ruin the show now do we?' The boy clucked his tongue and snapped his fingers, the Yumi man-crow lifted it's arms and flapped it's large wings once, slamming the door behind me with such force, I almost lost my fingers with it.
My eyes darted around the room, searching for any means of escape, the only way out left was the window, which the boy was blocking. I spotted a gap between the closet and the wall and made my way over to it, placing Yumi's still body in the gap and standing protectively in front of it.
'You will not lay a single finger on him, give him his... spirit back, and you can have mine.' I walked forward cautiously, waiting for the Yumi-crow to strike.
'Hmm... Nah. GO, CHIMERA ANIMA,' I screamed as the beast dived at me, angling it's sharply clawed talons at my face, I dived away from it, and ran, screaming towards Yumi's body. I felt something sharp lock onto my shoulder, digging in the flesh, and yank me back, I felt pain as the skin on my arm split and blood began to roll down my back.
'No- YUMI!' I got pulled back once more and I lost my footing, falling backwards. Before my head hit the ground, flashes of different coloured light assembled in front of me. My head smacked against the hardwood floor with a harsh thud and the last thing I saw was a pair of sharp blue eyes looking down at me.

Pain. That's all my mind registered, Physical pain: My head, and emotional pain; It felt as though something was wrong.
'Is she awake?' A timid female voice broke through the haze that had gathered around my head, she sounded familiar, I heard a click that my brain registered as a door closing, must've been the girl.
'Not yet,' A cool voice sounded somewhere near my midsection, male. 'It can't be long, her fever went down hours ago.' Hours? Where am I?
'Akasaka-San, it really was fortunate that you and Shirogane-San came with us, wasn't it?' Akasaka? Shirogane? 'We wouldn't have been able to manage to bring both the boy and the girl back with us,' Boy?...! YUMI!
I heard a voice next to my head this time, 'It was, Lettu-' the one I guessed was named Akasaka cut himself off as my breathing sped up, It sounded rough even to my ears.
I tried to open my eyes but failed, and as I attempted to move my limbs, I began panicking; I couldn't move at all.
I heard a whimper and didn't register it was my own until somebody took hold of my hand, the hand was only a little bigger than mine, but felt... somewhat masculine. It wasn't rough, but rather delicate, as though whoever this hand belonged to didn't do labouring work very often.
'You'll be alright, just relax. If I'm right, you can hear me now. I just want you to know the little boy you were with is fine, he's in better condition that you, believe it or not.'
I heard a door click again and assumed someone had just arrived, 'Lettuce-San has just gone to fetch him, she won't be long, I promise. My name's Keiichiro Akasaka, I know you can't see me, but I thought it might make you feel a little better knowing who's talking.' I heard a small chuckle, Keiichiro squeezed my hand, and a shock went up my arm, causing me to jerk it out of his grasp.
I heard a startled gasp at my legs and my eyes flew open, finding the source of the noise, Yumi was stood there, holding the green haired waitresses hand,
'Oneesama!' He let of the girls hand and came running at me, why was that girl here? Where is here? 'You're awake!' I laughed weakly and tried to sit up, I felt a hand on my back, steadying me and turned to thank whoever it was. The brown haired boy from before sat on a stool at my bedside, I stared in shock before remembering my manners and thanking him, my pale cheeks flushed with colour.
'I'm sorry about before, I didn't mean to scare you,' That voice... Keiichiro? The boy was Keiichiro? Well, that explains the shock in my arm.
'N-no.. that wa...s my fa...ult!' My voice cracked several times from lack of use, but other than that, I was all good in the throat department, I was just a little hoarse from the screaming earlier.
I cleared my throat and crossed my legs, sitting up properly now, 'I don't mean to sound rude, but where am I?' Keiichiro chuckled and took my hand again,
'I suppose formal introductions would be best, I am Keiichiro Akasaka, and you are in the second story of Café Mew Mew.' he raised my hand to his lips and planted a soft kiss on the back, I felt my cheeks flush with colour and I swear I could've died happy.
'Ryou Shirogane,' A tanned hand came into my sight and I dropped Keiichiro's pale one to shake it. I raised my eyes to look at the owner and was met by the sharp blue eyes I'd seen before I blacked out, the eyes were in a tanned face that belonged to a blond boy that could've been anywhere from fifteen to eighteen, he had that ageless look about him.
He dropped my hand and leaned back in his chair by my bed; I hadn't even realised he was there. 'We'll explain everything, but first, would you mind telling us your name?' Keiichiro smiled at me and I swear my heart skipped a beat.
'Washi, Washi Hotaru.' I smiled at the two boys, and Ryou came over and put a hand on my shoulder, and looked into my eyes. I shifted Yumi so he was a little more comfortable on my lap,
'Washi, you and Yumi were attacked by Aliens.'
