New Beginnings;

"Mother, I do not see why I even need to go to a new school

"Mother, I do not see why I even need to go to a new school. I'm perfectly capable of having Elsie educating me from the humble setting of our home," I complained as I watched my minuscule mother pack my books.

She closed the lid of my luggage and placed her hands on her hips - the sassy way she always does. "You still have two years, Rosanna! No child of mine will be left uneducated," she snapped.

"But Ro and Camila don't have to come, why me?" I complained, standing up from my bed.

"Because, Rosanna, they didn't get kicked out of their school. Do you know how much money goes to your schools?" Here we go again...

I rolled my eyes as I leaned against the frame of my bed, "In case you forgot your husband rules the country. We're the richest."

"Money isn't an endless supply, Rosanna. It's limited," she scowled.

It's always the same crap, sometimes I wonder if we're even related. "Why can't Camila come?" I groaned as she continued packing my last belongings.

"Because she doesn't deserve the punishment. It's only two more years, Rosanna. You'll be back for Christmas." My mother came and pulled me into a hug.

"You'll love it, I had a best friend who went there. She turned out amazing," she whispered in my ear. I want to hate you, stop.

I wasn't going to admit this but I was going to miss her, a lot. Despite her 'I know what's better for you' nonsense she's one of my best friends whom I cannot live without.

"I did apologise you know, to the bitch," I sighed.

She slapped my shoulder lightly, "Language!" I rolled my eyes and walked over to my shelf, grabbing my diar-journal.

"You apologised but you still got kicked out, you're lucky your father is sending you somewhere better," she sighed, shaking her head.

We finished packing my belongings and headed downstairs to the solar room. My brother and sister were impatiently waiting for me and ran up to me, hugging me.

"I'm going to miss you so much, Rosie," my sister sniffed as she hugged my waist.

"I'll miss you more, mon beauté," I hugged her back tighter.

My older brother, the heir of our family, gave me a sad smile as he wrapped his arms around my shoulder. "It won't be long," he whispered in my ear.

Oh...but it will.

"It's what's best, Rosanna!"

I looked up to see my father, king of Monaco, walking up to me with his arms extended. My siblings let go and I walked over to my father's arms.

"I will miss you, my child," he said. His voice projected very loudly despite his attempt at trying to be affectionate.

I let out a sigh as I let go and looked up at my father, "I know."
