The Gryffindor common room was now in celebration of the win from today. I was with Kaia and Ginny in a corner, watching Ron be praised by everyone - his ego is about to rise.

"For an idiotic brother, he played impressively," Ginny smirked, chugging her drink down.

Kaia and I shared a worried glance as she drank and drank. She wasn't feeling too well considering she'd recently broken up with her boyfriend - Dean Thomas.

It was pretty obvious, considering the fact that she entered Slughorn's dinner party late. Yes, I attended. No, it was not fun. Yes, I will unfortunately be attending the Christmas Party too.

"Gin, maybe take it down a notch on the drinks?" Kaia worryingly stated, aiming to grab the cup out of her hand.

Ginny slapped her hand and rolled her eyes, "If you broke up with your boyfriend, you'd feel the same."

"Just let her, I'm the same," I shrugged, gesturing for Ginny to continue.

"You've had your heart broken?" Kaia asked, now sitting next to me as we look at the crowd.

I nod my head as memories of just a few weeks ago pour into my mind. "Yeah, not pretty," I chuckled, not wanting to share the embarrassment I caused for everyone.

"Oh, why? What-" Kaia was interrupted by a loud cheer and whistles from the crowd, we looked up to see Lavender making out with Ron.

Both of our jaws hit the floor as we stared in disbelief. "Hermione's going to be devastated," I whispered.

I didn't fail to notice the way she would glance at him, stare at him from the corner of her eye whenever she read. Or the way she chuckled at her jokes playfully - not to mention the confundus charm in tryouts.

"Uh- I think she is," Kaia pointed out, turning me around to see Hermione walk out of the common room.

I sighed and stood up, thinking it'd be best to have her speak to someone. As I was beginning to walk out, my locket shimmered.

"I-I'll be right back," I quickly tell Kaia who was busy keeping a drunken Ginny steady and ran up to the dormitories.

I closed the door and headed for my nightstand and grabbed my journal. Quickly opening it, it was my sister.

Rosanna,

I'm sorry if I woke you or disturbed you in a lesson. Since you probably assumed, this is an emergency - a big one.

I was in the hallway, talking to the paintings - you know, my usual doing. Mother called me down for lunch and I was skipping down the halls when I overheard something.

Father and Romano were talking. It isn't good, Rosie.

Romano wants to step down.
