"Come Kiu," Jay says as we both enter the class after finishing our council members' morning duty.
"You go, I will sit with Sara today," I reply, making him frown.
"Why?"
I shrug my shoulder, "Just."
"Did I do something wrong?" he asks me, making me smile up at him.
Isn't he so cute?
"No, Jay-Jay, you didn't do anything wrong. I am just going to sit with Sara today. You go and sit with Adi and your friends today."
"If I didn't do anything wrong, then why are you not coming to sit with me?" he asks, making me sigh.
"Jay, why are you not understanding that I want to sit with Sara today?" I snap at him, later looking at him with an apologizing face, "Sorry. We will talk about it in the recess, okay?"
I pat his arm, and without looking at his face, I move forward to the bench that Sara and I share.
The thing is we can't spend all the time in the school being together. Jay has friends who are close to him before I came here. And he used to goof around with them when we were not 'together' if I could even say that.
But from the time we start developing feelings, we were always seen together, and I am sitting with Adi and Jay every day from a few weeks. And because of me, all the other boys feel weird talking with them while I was present there. The boys-talk or whatever that they call their conversations.
I get it that we both like being with each other, but it is also essential that he don't forget the other relations.
I will talk to him in the recess and clear all this thing. And I also will apologize to him for being moody.
And it is not like we don't spend enough time. After school, we are spending time with each other.
I come out of my thought as Sneha Ma'am comes and starts to take our attendance.
"Kunal?"
"Present Ma'am."
"Jay?" Ma'am calls out his name, making me smile at the thought of hearing his voice. I miss him already.
But he didn't answer making Ma'am calls out his name again.
I look sideways towards his bench and see that Adi nudge him making him startled.
"Yes Ma'am, present ma'am," he says and looks down at his books.
Sneha Ma'am looks at him slightly longer wondering what has happened to her active student and then move ahead to take attendance.
I look at his bench once again where Jay is still looking down at his book, but you can see that he is feeling down.
And it is my fault.
I sigh slightly. I should have told Jay at that time only but, anyone can hear our discussion. And I want that type of things to stay between us.
Maybe, I will sit with him after Ma'am go.
"Sara," I nudge Sara, "I am going to sit with Jay and Adi after Ma'am goes. I am sorry," I give her a puppy face, making her smile at me.
"No problem, I will call Aarav to sit with me, don't worry."
I look ahead as Sneha Ma'am takes her belongings as she waits for the bell to ring.
Just a few minutes, Jay then, I am coming, and I will tell you everything.
