chapter 19 - the party

People slowly started filling in and soon enough the 26 people at the camp showed up.

There was food and everyone was having a good time. Soon enough we all pilled outside having a full-on dance party.

It was amazing. I had a white skirt on with a light blue v neck top. It was cute I have to say.

I curled my hair tonight and my curls were so bouncy.

We were all dancing outside and the coaches and parents were inside. My mom called me inside telling me the pizza was on the way.

I didn't put out alcohol and just had normal drinks.

I grabbed another red solo cup and filled it with lemonade.

I felt bad that Clay wasn't here but this was kind of a cheer thing only. I felt bad but this was important to me. I thought about it a little more and I know he was upset about it but I realized he was probably happy for me. I brushed it off and went outside.

About 15 minutes passed and my mom called me inside again and this time it was because the pizza was at the door. I grabbed it and everyone pilled inside grabbing food and then going back outside to party to the music while eating.

I was gone for about 2 minutes and came back and there were only 3 slices left.

We vibed more and took videos and pictures.

The music was so loud but I honestly didn't care. We were having fun.

We all had glowsticks and fun glasses and everything was a blast. The lights were going crazy.

I could hear the music from Alyssa's house to my house. I could tell she was having fun I just got nervous because there were guys there and I didn't know and how they felt about her.

I didn't realize it then but I was getting jealous.

As the songs kept playing I was a little sad that I wasn't there but it was her party and it was for cheer so I really shouldn't be there in the first place.

I heard yelling and I had realized they were all singing the bridge of a song.

The bridge was coming and so we all got quiet vibing in slow motion and getting down low.

As the beat started to pick up we rised up again.

We kept dancing and dancing and when the bridge came we all screamed the lyrics as hard as we could.

Everyone jumped on the beat and we were all dancing as hard as we could.

We were laughing and having the time of our lives.

The song finally ended and we all took a breath of air. We were so tired.

People eventually started leaving around 10 and finally the last two people left around 10:45.

It was getting late but now I could finally go to sleep late again because I didn't have to wake up earlier for training.

I cleaned up so my mom didn't have to do anything and then I went to my bedroom and started to get ready for bed.

I had recently downloaded twitch and I had a notification from an hour ago

I smiled as I set my phone down to wash my face.

I watched a little bit of his stream and then journaled and kept replaying the moments of tonight in my head.

Summer was coming to an end and I was very glad I got to do that before it ended.

Summer was ending in 10 days and then I realized I needed to check my emails to see if I got an email back from my interview.

I didn't get one but I am hoping to get one soon. If I do I get to go to New York City to write. It would be amazing.

Then it hit me.

What about Clay?

What would I do without him? I can't lose him again but the writing was now my dream. I pushed it off for the night and tried to go to sleep. All I could think about that night though was if I got accepted how great it would be.

But my mind kept tracing back to that same thought.
