"Y'know keeping secrets here is usually how drama starts." Finn said and Heath raised an eyebrow at him. The older boy threw his hand up in surrender. "I'm just saying."
"Ozzy knows. He's known for three days bro." Heath grumbled as he watched Finn's eyes go wide. "How did you-?" Heath scoffed, "He called Izzy when we were hanging out. Apparently Richelle told him."
Finn gulped. "Shit." Heath shrugged, slipping his hoodie over his head. "He's actually been surprisingly chill about it all. Think that has more to do with Izzy threatening to reveal his crush on Richelle more than anything."
Finn raised an eyebrow. "He still likes her?" Heath shrugged. "I don't know. Just know that him and Izzy have been arguing about it all week." The older boy nodded before clapping Heath on the shoulder.
"I'll see you at rehearsal tomorrow man." Heath nodded. "See you." He watched as Finn left before shaking his head and finishing packing up his dance bag.
He walked out of the change room and down the hallway towards where he saw Izzy and her friends excitedly talking about something. "Hey guys." He said as he approached them, snaking his arm around Izzy's shoulder. She grinned up at him as the others all said hi.
"Okay Heath, you'll be our tiebreaker!" Jude said, and he raised an eyebrow at her. "Which show was better, The Backyardigans or The Wonder Pets?" Heath snorted.
This was what they had been arguing about? He laughed before trying to decide. "Uh.... I think I'd have to go with The Wonder Pets? Just cause I remember way more of that show." Jude groaned, and Maya and Izzy both burst out laughing as Cleo rolled her eyes at him.
"Damm it Heath!" Jude said teasingly and Izzy continued giggling. He started laughing as well. Eventually, the group's giggles subsided, and they all turned to walk out of the studio. They turned and walked into the Juice Bar.
Izzy and Heath split off from the rest of the group, grabbing a table for themselves. The others went to go grab food. They sat in silence for a moment before Heath looked over at another table and rolled his eyes.
"Am I going crazy or is all of A-Troupe staring at us?" Most of A-Troupe was staring at them, and pretty intensely too. "Oh god." Izzy rolled her eyes as well.
"Should I?" Heath asked and Izzy shrugged, a small smile forming on her lips. Heath sighed and stood up, walking over to the table where the rest of A-Troupe was sitting.
They all purposely looked away when he walked over and he rolled his eyes. "Uh guys? I don't know if you know this, but staring is kind of rude."
Kenzie snickered under her breath. "Sorry kid. Go back to your boo thang." Heath rolled his eyes at her before flipping her off with one hand. Summer started laughing as well. He walked back to Izzy who was laughing as well.
"Rude." He grumbled and Izzy giggled. She leaned over and kissed his cheek. Jude walked over with their sandwiches, breaking up the happy couple.
"Here you go. Cleo's bringing the drinks, and Maya went to the bathroom." Izzy nodded, and Heath smiled at her. The others joined them after a few minutes and they kept eating their lunch. Heath's phone buzzed in his pocket, and he opened it to see a text from his mom letting him know that she was on her way to pick him up.
"Hey my mom is almost here. I'll see you guys on Monday. I'll call you later Iz." He stood up, quickly kissing Izzy on the lips before exiting the Juice Bar and walking towards the busy parking lot.
His mom's Mazda pulled up a few minutes later, and Heath got into the passenger seat, sending his mom a quick smile as his phone buzzed again, this time with a text from Izzy.
princess izzy: miss you already.
Heath grinned, biting down on his lip.
heath: miss you too. i'll call you when i get home.
princess izzy: *sighs dramatically* FINE
Heath snorted at his girlfriend's dramatics. Izzy could be so over the top sometimes, but it was one of the many reasons why he loved her.
heath: i love you.
princess izzy: i love you too 💕
Heath grinned again, pressing his head against the cold glass of the window as they drove through the streets of Toronto and then made their way to the 401 expressway.
Things in his life so far, were looking amazing, and Heath couldn't wait to see where they went from there.
