Ozzy wasn't an idiot. He could be clueless but he wasn't a idiot. He knew when Izzy was acting weird, and she was definitely acting weird.
It had been over two weeks now since Miss Emily had announced that they were going to be going to a smaller dance competition and Izzy seemed to get flustered whenever Heath's name was brought up. Like really flustered.
Heath had denied anything happening between them when Ozzy had asked at school, but they kept giving each other gentle smiles and hugs that made him feel like he was interrupting a moment or something during dance.
Again. Weird. Case in point, they were currently driving to one of Izzy's friend's house, Izzy in the passenger seat and she was giggling at something on her phone.
Izzy didn't giggle. Like ever. "What's so funny?" Ozzy asked, looking at her out of the corner of his eyes.
Izzy turned bright red and shrugged, fiddling with the elastic she always wore around her wrist despite their mom complaining about it.
"Nothing." She mumbled and Ozzy raised an eyebrow. Yeah, he didn't believe her at all. "So nothing's been making you giggle like a toddler for thirty minutes?" Izzy looked at her feet, and Ozzy rolled his eyes.
"You and Heath looked pretty cozy last week. Is he the nothing you're talking about? Are we going to his house or something?" If Izzy could get any more red, Ozzy would have thought she was dying. "What? No!"
"Are you sure? Because I won't get mad if you guys are together." Which okay, Ozzy had to admit was slightly a lie. Ozzy hated being the overprotective brother, but this was his baby sister. He figured that being a little bit overprotective was warranted.
Izzy looked at him as they pulled into the street parking. They sat there in the car in silence for a moment before she spoke. "I can't tell you yet. But I will. Eventually." Izzy got out of the car, before knocking on the front door and a lady - her friend's mom he assumed, let her in with a wide smile.
Ozzy sat there, dragging a hand down his face. Fuck. He was never gonna find out what was going on between Izzy and Heath was he?

A-Troupe rehearsal went fairly fast, and Ozzy almost forgot about the whole Izzy and Heath thing until he started to put two and two together.
Heath hadn't been at dance rehearsals today. The kid never missed a rehearsal. And Izzy had only said she was going to a friend's house. She never said anything else.
Oh god, he thought. Izzy was hanging out with Heath. His sister had lied to him. Izzy had lied.
Grabbing his water bottle, he chugged it, hoping that maybe he was just dehydrated or something. Nope. That didn't work.
He groaned under his breath, and Richelle looked at him. "You okay?" She asked, pulling her hair back into the bun it had been in at the start of class. He sat down next to her on the bench. "I think Izzy has a boyfriend and I think it's Heath."
Richelle snorted. "Well congratulations on figuring that one out. You are officially the last person to know."
Ozzy squwaked loudly as if he'd been punched. "What?"
Richelle continued. "They aren't very subtle, besides, I overheard Heath confessing to the others like three weeks ago. It's actually really cute how much he cares about her. He's trying to figure out what to do for their three months anniversary so he's been asking everyone for ideas."
Three months anniversary, Ozzy thought. They'd been dating for three months and he had no idea. "They've been dating for three months?"
Richelle nodded. "God. How bad of a big brother am I if my sister doesn't feel comfortable letting me know that she's dating someone?" He asked himself out loud and Richelle shook her head, placing a gentle hand on Ozzy's back.
"You are not a bad big brother Oz. Izzy and Heath just...They didn't want to cause any drama, and let's be honest, they probably didn't want to deal with the embarrassment of everyone knowing their business. I don't blame them." Ozzy nodded. He stared at the ground for a moment before Richelle's voice brought him out of his head.
"Just talk to her Ozzy. You just need to talk to her." Ozzy nodded slowly, smiling. He leaned over and quickly kissed Richelle on the cheek. The blonde haired girl stared at him for a moment before turning bright red.
Ozzy turned on his heel, grabbing his backpack and water bottle before booking it out of the studio. He ended up sitting down at one of the tables in the Juice Bar.
After a moment, he rummaged for his phone in the smallest pocket of his backpack pulling it out and quickly dialing Izzy's number. It rang for a moment before Izzy picked up.
"Hello?"
"Hey Iz. Um, Are you dating Heath?"
"What? No? I would never." Yeah, his sister was a really bad liar. Like stupidly bad.
"I know you are. Richelle told me." Izzy went silent on the other side of the call. "I'm not mad. I just wanna know why you didn't tell me. I mean, I'm your big brother."
Izzy sighed before responding. "You and Heath are always arguing and I didn't want to have to deal with it. Besides, we dance at The Next Step. There's already so much relationship drama. I didn't want to add to it."
Ozzy hummed. That made sense. He bit down on his lower lip before closing his eyes as he responded. "Does he treat you right?"
"Yeah. He's great." He could hear the smile in her voice. He sighed, running his fingers through his hair. "Then I guess I have no choice but to accept it huh?"
Izzy laughed, and he could hear Heath asking her a question on the other side. She mumbled something to him before returning to the phone. "We're about to eat lunch. I'll call you when I need a ride?"
Ozzy nodded before remembering that Izzy couldn't see him. "Yeah sure. Have fun. And happy three months."
Izzy went silent for a moment. "How-?"
"Richelle." Ozzy said with a smirk. He could practically see Izzy's eye roll. "Of course. She's such a gossip. Well I gotta go. I love you Oz."
Ozzy smiled, "I love you too Iz." After Izzy hung up, he spotted Richelle sitting with the others on the other side. He picked up his bag, slipping his phone into his pocket as he walked over to them.
"So. When were you guys going to tell me that you all knew about my sister's relationship?" Richelle turned to look at him with wide eyes. The others all shared looks of shock.
"How did you find out?" Henry asked, and Richelle looked away, her cheeks burning. "Oh my god Richelle!"
The blonde haired girl shrugged. "He figured it out on his own. I just filled in some of the details."
Amy rolled her eyes, scoffing. "Richelle. Everyone knows you're the biggest gossip here."
Richelle gasped, and Ozzy snickered under his breath. Richelle glared at him and he threw his hands up in surrender. "Sorry Rich."
Lily spoke up, her long hair braided back. "So, your little sister has her first boyfriend. You gonna give Heath the shovel talk or-?" All of the boys nodded and said yes in various tones.
"I call dibs on being bad cop!" Finn said, and Piper turned to look at him with one eyebrow raised. "What? Izzy's basically my little sister too." The others nodded and Ozzy smirked.
"Heath's not going to have any clue what hit him." The girls all shared looks. Kenzie leaned over and gently smacked the back of Ozzy's head. He turned to gawk at her.
"Rude." Kenzie rolled her eyes at him. "It's what you deserve." Richelle laughed and Ozzy pretended to glare at her. She grinned at him, and his heart skipped a beat.
Shit. Was he starting to like her again? Maybe Izzy did have a point when she mentioned how much relationship drama The Next Step had.
God, he hated it when Izzy had a point.
