Chapter 7

Marinettes eyes fluttered open. She was in her room.
"What happened?"
Tikki flew up
"You blacked out and adrien carried you home. Alya brought all of your work earlier...are you ok?"
"A-adrien CARRIED ME HOME?!"
"Yes"
"Oh my gosh i'm so embarrassed!"
"It's alright marinette! he helped you and that's all that matters!"
Marinette closed her eyes trying to think of the events leading up to her blacking out.
"I'm telling you marinette, he was genuinely concerned for you!"
"I know tikki but I totally failed that test!"
"The teacher is letting you retake it, since you had to go home early"
"Phew...more time to study"
"No marinette! You have to rest! there's a reason why you blacked out today! You overworked yourself!"
Marinette crossed her arms and pouted.
"Wait! Does that mean adrien was in my-ROOM?!"
Tikki avoided eye contact with marinette.
"Tikki tell me!!"
"Yes marinette! He carried you to your room and your parents followed!"
"Did he look around!"
Tikki was thinking and then went wide eyed.
"What!"
"He did stop for a second and looked at something on your desk. He shook his head and hurried out of your room while saying goodbye..."
Marinette looked over at her desk. The picture of adrien with hearts drawn on it was still there.
Marinette stared at it horrified.
"Did he make any sort of face at it?!"
"I could really see since he was facing away from me. I'm sorry marinette"
Marinette buried her face in her pillow. He totally knows i'm in love with him! He doesn't even like me back!
Marinette heard a knock on her door.
"Come in!"
Her parents walked in.
"Oh your awake! How are you feeling?" Her parents asked worriedly.
"I'm okay for now. what is it?"
"You have a friend who wants to check on you again."
Again?! It's probably alya..
"Alright!"
Her parents walked out of her room and in walked- ADRIEN! Marinette freaked out and got out of bed and stood up.
"Hi marinette...how are you?"
"I-i'm great! Just umm regaining my strength!"
"I knew something was wrong this morning...do you know what happened?" Adrien said curiously.
"I guess i overworked myself...i did so much last night!"
"What did you do?"
"Well i worked on jaggeds poster, your hat and homework with cat- I MEAN worked on homework all night! I didn't have any time to study..." She said walking over to her chair. She picked up adriens hat and handed it to him.
"Wow this is amazing! You really put in the fall look they were looking for! They will love it when i walk this on the runway!"
Marinette blushed. Adriens eyes trailed over to the picture on marinettes desk. Marinette quickly walked over there to block it.
"Well um- try your hat on!"
Adrien could see how red her cheeks got when he looked at the picture. He tried his hat on and it fit perfectly.
"See i knew you were a great designer. Is the any heart designs your working on...?"
Marinette thought of all the designs she had.
"I don't think so"
"Oh...alright...well if your feeling better i'll see you soon?"
"Y-yes i plan to come back to school tomorrow!"
"Alright...bye marinette!"
"B-b-bye adrien!"
As he left her house she smacked her face with her palm.
"Tikki he definitely thinks i love him! Did you see how he looked at the picture again!"
"It's alright marinette! He probably thought you were designing something for him!"
Marinette was thinking about what tikki said until she realized something.
"Tikki he asked me if i had any designs with hearts! And i said no!"
Marinettes headache got worse just thinking about what adrien said.
"Marinette go eat something and rest!" Tikki said pleadingly.
"Your right tikki..."
Marinette went to eat.
As adrien was walking home he was thinking about e picture. When he got to his room he sat on his bed.
"Plagg do you think i'm right?"
"About camembert? absolutely!" plagg said flying to his cheese cabinet.
"No! about marinette being in love with me!"
"Ohh! nooo she was just designing something for you!"
"She wasn't though plagg! I asked her to make sure. She had no designs with hearts on them!"
"...Well..."
"Plagg you know something that i don't!"
"Adrien would i lie to you?"
Adrien stared at plagg with pure annoyance on his face. Plagg shrugged and went back to eating cheese.
"I'm going to visit her!"
"Again?" plagg complained
"As cat noir! Plagg Claws Out!"
He transformed and hopped out his window. He picked up a bouquet of flowers and a card. He hopped onto marinettes balcony. He slowly opened her window. She was sleeping...so peacefully. He carefully hoped into her room, trying to be as quiet as possible. He placed the bouquet of flowers down. He looked for a pencil to write in the card. He spotted one on her desk. He walked to pick it up when he spotted the picture again. Tikki woke up and noticed chat in marinettes room. She covered her mouth as she was about to wake marinette up but didn't. She hid and observed chat. He had the picture in his hand and was staring at it. Tikki noticed his cheeks were pink and his eyes were big when he looked over at marinette. He placed the picture back down and started writing in the card. He finished writing and placed the card down. He started walking back towards the window when he spotted something behind marinette. Tikki held her breath as she felt chat gazing in her direction. A-are those antennas?? He tried to get a better look by climbing a bit over marinette. Marinette turned in her sleep and faced chat. He gazed at her then realized how close their faces where. Too close!... He thought when his cheeks glowed bright red. He climbed out of the window and shut it quietly. He stood up straight and stared at the moon. He sighed and headed back home. What he didn't know was that tomorrow hawk moth had something big planned...
