Ever since I was put in the hands of Corporal Levi Ackerman, I've only seen my friends a handful of times.

I missed them greatly, except Jean, who I still can't believe joined the Scout Regiment instead of the lazy Military Brigade.

Most of my days were spent cleaning, being experimented on, and conversing with Levi's team who were an odd bunch. Luckily, once I gained their trust we seemed to get along pretty well.

I walked around the dark castle that took over a week to clean head to toe.
If Levi were to catch me it'd probably result in my room in the basement being locked from now on.

The only sound heard was the sound of my footsteps which were disrupted by the entrance door carefully opening.

Instantly, my heart shot to my stomach and I held my breath.
I hoped it was Hanji coming to bother me again, and not someone coming to harm us in our supposed sleep.

I probably could hold the person off but if there were more than one then I'd be screwed.

A head peeked through the door, covered by a distinct green hood that all Scout members had. Before I knew it blue eyes landed on me.

"Armin? What are you doing here?" I asked as I walked over to him.

"Well, I've missed you so I figured sneaking out to see you wouldn't hurt." He said a bit sheepishly as he pulled his hood down.

"I'm happy you're up. I didn't wanna risk getting caught while searching for you." He said as he closed the door behind him.

"You know if we get caught at all we're gonna be in a lot of trouble." I said with a soft laugh.

"Then we better hurry up and get out of here." He said with a smile.

"Where exactly are we going?" I asked while raising an eyebrow.

"It's a surprise." He said with a soft laugh that made my heart race.

For the longest time, I struggled with figuring out why I felt this way around him.
He would always make my heart race and make me feel sick to my stomach but in a good way.

Even once I figured out I cared deeply for him, there was no telling whether he'd reciprocate the feelings or not.

"Then let's get going. You know I can't handle waiting." I said with a grin.

He opened the castle doors and led me out. As the moonlight shone down on us I noticed a book between his arm and side.

"What's that?"

"It's a part of the surprise."

"Of course."

We walked alongside each other in comfortable silence. I had no clue where he was taking us but I trusted him enough to not question it further.

As we walked I couldn't help but glance at his hand as my hand twitched to grab it. Of course, I completely disregarded the idea and pushed it to the back of my mind.

We soon came across a hill that was cleared of trees and any nature besides grass.

Armin sat down and patted the ground beside him. I sat beside him and watched as he opened the book that he had brought along.

"This book is about space and the stars. Did you know that stars actually form something called constellations? Which is basically an outline of something." He explained as he flipped through the pages.

"Constellations? That doesn't make any sense. They're just stars." I said as I glanced up at the stars that shone above us.

"That's what I thought too, but I then found this book that had tons of information about stars."

He scooted closer to me to the point our legs were touching.
"Look, this is the little dipper and the big dipper." He said as he pointed to a diagram in the book.

"And we're supposed to see that in the stars?"

"Yep. So this is the surprise." He said with a smile that was as bright as the moon.

"A book about stars?" I asked confused.

"Wha-? Are you that dense? We're gonna be stargazing." He said with a laugh, making an embarrassing blush make its way onto my way.

"You don't have to be rude." I said jokingly as I gave him a gentle shove.

"Yeah yeah. Anyways start looking for the two dippers, and the aquila." He said while pointing at another image.

"Alright, seems simple enough." I said as I laid back on the grass.

Armin followed suit as we began looking over the stars in the sky. Honestly, even after seeing the images, I had no clue what we were looking for. But if this made Armin happy, and made me happy to spend time with him, then it was worth it.

"I found the little dipper." Armin said with a grin.

"What? Where?" I asked confused.

Armin pointed up at the sky as he tried to get me to see the constellation.
"See it?" He asked.

"No- wait, I think I see it." I said excitedly making him laugh.

"See, wasn't that hard." He said as he glanced at me. At the same time, I turned to face him as silence fell onto us.

We both stared into one another's eyes. his that was as blue as I expected the ocean to look, and mine who apparently was like the grass.
It seemed like minutes but were most likely seconds before mine strayed down to his lips.

"Can I kiss you?" I asked softly making his eyes widen a bit in surprise.

"Y-yeah." He responded with a blush as he began leaning forward.

I placed a hand on his cheek and closed my eyes as I leaned forward and kissed him softly.

The kiss lasted a few seconds before I pulled away with an equally flustered face.
"I've been wanting to do that for a long time." I admitted as I rubbed my thumb against his cheek.

"Me too...I didn't think you were one for catching feelings." He said with a smile.

"Neither did I." I said with a small laugh.
"But it was worth it...Can I miss you again?"

"Of course." Armin said with a soft laugh as he leaned forward and kissed me gently.

We continued stargazing and exchanging kisses for who knows how long.

"We should probably head back before people notice we're gone." Armin said as he sat up and closed his book.

"Yeah." I said with a sigh.

I stood up and dusted myself off before holding a hand out to Armin to help him up.

We began walking back to the castle and this time I didn't hesitate to grab his hand and intertwine our fingers.

Before we knew it we were at the castle's entrance.

"I guess this is goodbye for now." I said as I turned to face him.

"We can always do this again." He suggested with a smile.

"Yeah. Until then, stay safe." I said as I pecked his lips.

"You too." He said before pulling his hood back up and walked off.

I have some more requests in the works, but along with that I have decided to update the old oneshots so be on the lookout.
I hate to say it but I can't write some of the requests since I haven't watched that far in the show but hopefully I get the motivation to finish it sometime soon.
