"What would you do if, um, you liked someone, that was... your best friend?" Firey says to Taco. Firey has a crush on his best friend, Leafy, but he doesn't know what to do. He tries to get help from his other friends, but they're no help, and now F...
"Firey." Taco shook Firey so he would wake up. "Wake up, I need some explanations."
Firey woke up, looked at Taco, and felt scared. Oh no, I have to tell her! I can't! I just can't! Leafy will get so mad!!
"Hello, Firey? Are you listening to me?" Taco sat down next to him and made a slightly angered face.
"Y-yeah, what do you need?" Firey pretended to not know what she was talking about, knowing that it wouldn't work anyways.
"You know what I need." Taco said, giving a disapproving look.
"Ok, fine." Firey decided he had no choice, but to tell her. "So, you remember when I asked you what you would do if you liked someone, like a crush?" Taco nodded. "Well, that's because, I needed the advice.. and.. I, um, kinda got in a relationship with someone..." Firey looked down at the blue dirt. Taco looked at him surprised.
"I-I didn't expect that.. but.. who are you in a relationship with?" Taco seemed curious.
"O-oh, um.." Firey looked at his wrist like he had a watch on it. "W-would you look at the time! I gotta go-" Before Firey could finish, Taco grabbed him by the arm and stopped him from going anywhere else.
"That worked before, it's not gonna work again." Taco gave Firey a cold stare.
"O-ok, fine.. The person I'm going out with.. is... Leafy.." Firey looked like he was about to cry.
"Ok, thanks for letting me know. I'll go tell the others so-"
"NO! DON'T!" Firey tackled Taco, making their faces get close. Just then, the worst happened. The worst that could ever happen to Firey. Leafy, just so happened to walk in on Firey and Taco, and it looked like Firey was cheating on her, in the pose he was in. Leafy's eyes trembled. a tear fell from her eye. Then another, then another.
"L-Leafy! I swear it's not what it looks like!" Firey got off of Taco and reached for Leafy. Leafy slapped his hand away and burst into tears. She ran off. Firey stared at her running away. He started to cry, the tears hurting him. Firey sat back down, dug his eyes into his hands, and cried. He cried like he was trying to fill up a river. It hurt so bad. But he didn't stop. Taco put her arm on his shoulder, feeling guilty. It was silent. The only thing that could be heard was Firey crying. A few tears fell from Taco's face as well. To Firey, the world had just ended. Everything meant nothing to him. He would never be the same again.
