"Let's go catch a scavenger!"
Winter POV
Winter's talon flew up to his snout and pointed his tail slightly to his right. Kinkajou nodded, then slowly disappeared. Winter's sharp IceWing ears could hear her walking slowly towards the sound of scrambling paws.
Suddenly, there was a scavenger-like shriek, then Kinkajou came bounding back with a small scavenger clutched in her talons. "There you go! Well, I'll leave you to it. I'm going to visit Glory now! BYE!!"
"Bye, Kinkajou!" Winter replied, taking the scavenger from her.
Kinkajou's pounding talon steps had barely left the hearing range when Winter heard a, "HEY!"
Startled, Winter looked around for the source of the sound when the scavenger poked his talon with its paw. "Down here bird-brain. Why does everyone have to do that?!"
Winter blinked at the scavenger. "YES, IT'S ME TALKING TO YOU. YES, I CAN TALK DRAGON! AND MY NAME IS WREN."
"Goodness!" Winter exclaimed. "Can you all talk Dragon? Why has no one ever told me?"
Wren rolled her eyes (HOW DARE SHE), "Because I'm the only human who can currently speak fluent Dragon. And I've only spoken to 4 dragons. One is a doofus face that thinks I'm copying her; another is you; the third is a black dragon named Murderbasket, or something along those lines, who promised not to mention anything about our interaction; and the fourth is my own dragon."
Winter thought about what she had said. "Murderbasket... I know a dragon whose name sounds like that, is his name actually Deathbringer by any chance?"
Wren nodded, "OHHH Deathbringer! That sounds better. My Dragon wasn't as good back then. Do you know where he is right now?"
Winter scowled. "I know where he is. And I do not like that dragon but- WAIT. DID YOU JUST SAY YOU HAVE YOUR OWN DRAGON??!!!"
