Deathbringer POV

HUMPH. A pit of quicksand. He was trying to protect her! Yes, he may be going a bit over the top, and yes, he was being a bit too annoying, but he didn't think he could bear to lose her.

"Sky!" Wren's voice carried over the wind, interrupting his train of thought. "I know this has been a very dramatic day for you, but that's the 25th tree you've crashed into!"

Sky mumbled a half-hearted, "Sorry,"

Deathbringer sighed, "Would you like me to have her for a while? Just until we're out of the rainforest."

Wren glared at him, "Nobody 'haves' me! I can speak for myself!"

Deathbringer sighed again, looking in the direction of the Rainforest, of Glory, "Sorry. Would you like the honor of riding on me until we get out of the rainforest?"

Wren glared at him again, then nudged Sky who nodded absent-mindedly.

Deathbringer glided closer and Wren climbed off Sky and onto him. After that, they flew in silence, each thinking their own thoughts until the trees of the Rainforest cleared into the Mountains.

Wren tilted her head towards Sky, "Sky? Would you like me to ride on you now?"

Sky shook his head, "I think it might be safer for you to fly on Deathbringer?"

"Hey! Is no one going to ask my opinion?" Deathbringer protested.

"You don't get a say," Wren snorted, poking him in the shoulder with a paw, and resettled herself in between his back spines. Deathbringer huffed but left it.

In front of them, Deathbringer watched as the peak of Jade Mountain grew bigger and bigger until the cave entrance opened in front of them. Deathbringer glided down and landed, and Sky followed close behind.

Immediately, Tsunami came bounding up. Loudly.
