The North's Star Polaris

So I've been watching from afar,
I've been admiring you mighty star.
Radiantly you shine among those who twinkle,
And I can only look at you with this chain in my ankle.
Light years away but so bright to me,
Oh constant one, I can only wish, with you I'd be.
Planted in the sky, looked up to in the sea,
Right where sailors are sailing among the galaxy.
And I want to be the reason you'd shine,
Though it sounds idiotic, I wish you'd be mine.
So dreamy was I while writing this,
Sadly I know this to you would be lame as it is.
Here I am still bleeding my feelings away,
The shyness, the nervousness kept at bay.
Raising my hands I now aim to reach out,
On this chained state, I want to shout!
North come my way, even if I can't move the compass,
Endow me with your light as to me it would only pass.
Here I stand, chained and unseen,
Then there you shine in my phone's screen.
