"Among the Stars"
So, this is how it ends,
Every resolve left in me now bends.
Darkness engulfed me solely,
As your eyes closed eternally.
How I wish I held you close back then,
Ever since you told me that you want me, loved me even.
Now I'm just watching the stars twinkle,
And with a heavy heart I straightened my dress with a wrinkle.
Hands on your tombstone as I tried to hold you,
Saying the words that I truly meant to.
Reclining my head up to look at the stars cause I knew,
Every little light there is a soul from the blue.
My heart clenched cause I know you're among them now,
Oh my dear one, I'll connect to you somehow.
