Kim POV

I woke up with my heading throbbing and my stomach was extremely sore. Lights blinded my eyes as I squinted looking around the unfamiliar room.

Where am I?

"Oh good Kimberly you're awake!" A lady said.

"Excuse me have we met?" I said confused to how she knew my name.

"No but I'm Dr. Johnson and you are in the hospital."

I looked down to see an IV in my arm.

"Do you remember what happened?"

"Um no all I remember is me trying to catch a cab and that's all."

"Oh well you hit your head pretty hard when you fell and we had to pump your stomach."

I was so confused. "Why did you have to pump my stomach?"

"We found excessive amounts of pain killers in your system which is why you passed out, you could have died. Kim, did you intentionally try to overdose to harm yourself in anyway?"

"No I just was in a lot of pain so I took more then two Advils."

"Oh I did notice exceptional bruising on your stomach before pumping it as well as cuts on your arm and your eye is swollen and discolored. What happened to you?" She had a concerned look on her face but that wasn't enough for me to tell her the truth.

"I was jumped by some random girls." I lied.

She paused and struggled to come up with a response.

Finally she said, "Would you like to get the police involved?"

"No!" I said a little louder then expected making her jump.

"Sorry it's just that I really want to go home." I pleaded.

"Ok sweetie, just let me do one last check up." She said with a smile.

While she was checking my wires and IV I decided to go on my phone real quick and order a plane ticket. I quickly got a one way to California. My best friend lives in LA and I have always loved California. Something about the hot weather.

"Ok Kim I'm all done!"

"Oh great can I go now?" I really wanted to leave I hated hospitals.

"Well you need to have a guardian discharge you so if you give me a number I can call your mom or your dad if you want?"

"That's fine I'll call my mom." I lied. There was no way in hell I was going home.

"Ok no problem just wait here until she comes and you can call one of the nurses to escort you guys out."

"Thank you so much Doc."

She smiled, "No problem sweetie."

As soon as she left I went to my bag of clothes and pulled out a black sweatshirt, leggings and a black hat and changed quickly. They couldn't see me leave without someone so I guess I would sneak out. I noticed I was on ground floor so I could literally step out my window. I took a step out and looked to see if there were cameras. None. I jumped out and jogged near the entrance. I saw a camera that face the entrance so I merged with a croud of people leaving the hospital and kept my back to the camera. I yelled out for a cab.

"Taxi!"
A taxi came to a stop and I hopped in.

"LaGuardia Airport please."

He nodded.

I went on my phone and it was 11:15pm and my flight was at 12am. I couldn't wait to get on my plane.
