I woke up to someone calling my name.

"Kim!" A voice whispered.

I inwardly groaned, frustrated I had to wake up.

"Kim wake up." Maria whispered shaking me.

I slowly opened my eyes to Maria hovering over me.

I rubbed my eyes and grumbled, "What do you want?"

"What's he doing here?" She asked pointing to Cameron.

He was laid out across the other couch sound asleep.

"Oh he came last night hurt so I helped him. I didn't want him to drive back home in the state he was in. Sorry."

She mouthed 'Oh' before smirking.

"Okay I'm going to go cook breakfast."

She exited the room and I looked back at Cameron who was still sleeping. I laid back down trying to fall back asleep but I couldn't because all that was on my mind was how Cameron got hurt. For ten minutes I thought about all the possibilities behind his reason, "Just a misunderstanding".

What does that even mean?

My thinking was interrupted when Cameron stirred around for a moment before sitting up. He looked confused for a moment as to where he was before he made eye contact with me and smiled.

"Good morning Kimberly." He said with a raspy voice sending chills down my spine.

"G-Good Morning Cameron." I said nervously.

He chuckled to himself before slowly licking his lips staring at me intensely.

"What time is is?" He asked.

I grabbed my phone almost dropping it.

"It's 10:47. Do you have anywhere to be?"

"Not really but I'd rather not leave yet." He replied with a dark smile.

He stood up combed his hair back with his fingers causing his shirt to rise revealing his chiseled abdomen underneath.

He's doing it on purpose to make me nervous and it's working 101%.

He walked over and plopped down next to me.

"Is that food I smell?" He asked.

"Yeah Maria is cooking breakfast if you would like to stay."

"That sounds great I love to eat." He replied with a wink.

Oh lord.

Maria burst it with a tray containing three plates with steaming food.

"I'm glad you like to eat Cameron because breakfast is served." She said grinning and placed a plate on his lap.

"Thank you so much! Oh and sorry for coming last night unannounced I shouldn't-"

Maria cut him off saying, "Don't worry it's all good."

She placed a plate on my lap before walking over to the other couch taking a seat herself.

"Thanks." I mumbled.

Cameron was already scarfing down his eggs by the time I got my plate.

"This is amazing!" He exclaimed.

"Thank you! I love cooking I'm glad you like it." She smiled.

I inwardly rolled my eyes. I love Maria but I hated when she flirted with guys. She always claimed she wasn't doing it and that she was just being nice but that wasn't true. I wasn't jealous that she was flirting with Cameron, it was just irritating.
