Meet me // Ch.15

One, two, three. That's the number of days Octavio and Natalie have been separated for. Apparently there was some footage found of the time they've been stuck in that closet together. Mr. Nox didn't like that very much and decided it was time to keep them separated until further notice. It is prohibited for a male and female student to be alone in an enclosed space together; no excuses. But no matter how many times Octavio and Natalie tried explaining what actually happened, Mr.Nox just wasn't buying it. He gave Octavio a glare of pure disgust before sending him off, leaving Natalie to stay.

Tae smiled as he walked down the hall. He eavesdropped the conversation between Mr.Nox, Natalie, and Octavio from the outside before leaving. Recording everything with this drone to show to Loba proving that their plan was successful.

Natalie sat there watching awkwardly as Mr.Nox signed some papers. He then cleared his throat before saying, "You shouldn't involve yourself with that boy Ms.Paquette, he's nothing but trouble, a bad influence to someone who possesses a great mind like yours."

"But Mr.Nox it wasn't as it seems-"

"No buts Ms.Paquette, you may be dismissed."

"But-"

"I said...dismissed."

Present day:

Loba couldn't help but get herself all dolled up for the day. It was only a couple days until the dance and now that Octavio and Natalie weren't aloud to be with each other this was her chance to snatch up Natalie's spot as his date. Oh, how she squealed in excitement at the thought of dancing with the boy of her dreams. It was like her own Cinderella story...but without the struggle and god-mothers.

But before that she had promised Tae to help him win the girl of his liking. The very girl who snatched Octavio away from her...Natalie. She still didn't know what Tae saw in her and frankly she really didn't want to involve herself with anything to do with that wench, but a promise is a promise. Loba sighed as she braided her hair and then minutes later headed out the door.

Tae watched as Natalie talked to Ajay, she seemed normal to anyone else but to Tae, he knew something was off about her. "Hey Tae." he hears, quickly turning to see Loba glancing over his shoulder. He grunted, asking what the hell she wanted. She smiled before whispering in his ear

"Watch this."

Tae hesitantly stood in his place watching as Loba walked toward Natalie. He was worried she might do something brash. "Natalie, how are you?" she said and Natalie looked at her with no response, you could almost feel the anger emitting from her the more Loba stayed. Loba started with small talk. Asking how her day was before Tae noticed Loba swiftly slipping a little white folded paper in the crack of Natalie's locker. Loba continued with the small talk completely ignoring the obvious signs Natalie showed that basically screamed "Fuck off."

Natalie turned away stuffing books and other supplies in her backpack before attempting to walk away.

But if only she'd kept her mouth shut

"So I heard you and Octavio aren't allowed to see each other anymore if i'm not mistaking. Am I?" she chuckled. Natalie stood in silence, shocked and unable to move, letting her backpack hit the floor and letting her sinking heart get the better of her. Loba smiled at her before she made her way back to Tae, patting his shoulder and whispering

"Meet me on the roof after school."

He nodded in agreement before sucking his teeth and walking away. Because even he knew what she did to Natalie was disgusting. And the worst part was that he did nothing about it.

The final bell rang and students started to exit the school, meeting up with friends, lovers or even just going straight back to the dorms. But Tae however had to walk all the way up the torturous flights of stairs that led to the roof. Out of breath he manages to open the door.

Something wasn't right though...

Where's Loba..?

Tae couldn't believe that witch lied to him. He made his way onto the roof before slamming the door behind him and kicking it with anger. "Are you okay?" a voice shouts from the other end of the roof. Tae looks over shocked to see Natalie making her way toward him. "Was this Loba's doing?" he thought and tried to hold back a smile.

"Yes, i'm fine Natalie."

"Wait, are you Tae? The one everyone refers to as 'Crypto'? The guy from the rumors?"

Tae was a little surprised on how intrigued she was about him. She hadn't realized it yet but with every question she asked, the more she moved closer and invading his personal space. His heart started to race a little at how close she was. They were practically kissing distance.   He averted his eyes, his cheeks were flushed a cherry red as he pointed out how close Natalie was to him.

"Um, Natalie...you're um, pretty close."

Natalie gasped before quickly backing away, even though this was her doing she seemed the most embarrassed by it. "I'm so sorry, Tae! I didn't realize."

"So, what happened between you and Octavio? You guys haven't been around each other in days." he asked but he damn knew why this happened. He just wanted to hear it come out of her pretty little mouth for his satisfaction, he was sick.

Natalie gave him a pained look and stayed quiet. The wind started to blow and she began to cry. Tae quickly brought her into an embrace, he could barely contain his happiness as he smiled while she cried in his shoulder.
