Natalie freaked out as she rummaged through her closet, a pile of clothes on the floor next to her. "I have nothing to wear!" she panicked. She wanted to wear something nice to the dance, especially since it was tomorrow night. None of her current dresses were good enough, not even her favorite striped black and white ruffled dress that she wore on special occasions appealed to her anymore.

She groaned in frustration as she crouched down and played with one of her bras that was laying around on the floor somewhere. Twirling and pulling it by the strap. She wasn't even the slightest bit amused at the thing but she continued messing around as if she were before accidentally launching the thing across the room.

"Crap." she thought before slowly getting up to pick up the garment, running her fingers along the fabric as the memories from last night came to her mind.

Her and Octavio...

"Nat? Are ya there?" a female's voice called from outside her door, snapping Natalie out of her lewd trance and Natalie slapped her cheeks a couple times once she got up to fully focus herself away from those pesky thoughts as she walked to the door.

"Oh, bonjour Ajay." she sighed. Even Ajay probably had something nice to wear to the dance.

"Ya doin' alright? Ya seem a bit down." Ajay said.

"Yeah, it's just...I couldn't find anything nice to wear for the dance."

For Octavio...

Ajay laughed, "I was just gon' ask ya bout' that. I also need to find somethin' and so does Renee. Wanna come with us to find something' to wear?"

Natalie's eyes sparkled at that. She's never been shopping with friends before let alone girls even. Her heart raced in excitement. Thinking about all the fun they are going to have while they shop for dresses and such.

"I'll gladly come with you guys!" she said and Ajay smiled

"That's great, meet us in the lobby in thirty minutes."

Natalie quickly put her wallet and keys in her purse before heading out the door to meet Ajay and Renee in the lobby. She could only imagine all the pretty dresses and cute clothing they would find while searching for their outfits. She jumped in excitement as she sped up her pace a little, walking faster and faster by the second.

"Nat!" Ajay shouted, waving her hand. Renee standing next to her, arms crossed. "Hello Ajay, bonjour Renee!" she smiled. Renee giving her a quick wave back in return.

"Y'all ready?" Ajay asked and the two nodded their heads in affirmation. "All right, follow me." she said before they all went out the door.

"Knock, knock. Anyone home?" Elliot said as he knocked on Octavio's door non-stop. "I know you're in there sleepyhead!" he shouted before Octavio finally opened his door, drool on his lip leading down to his chin and the messiest bedhead that Elliott has ever seen before. Octavio on the other hand was totally out of it.

"You look like a train wreck."

"Shut up Elliot."

Elliott let out a small chuckle before pushing Octavio to the side, letting himself inside of his dorm. "Soo, have you thought of whatcha going to be wearing the dance, hmm? It better not be something tacky or ripped." he said. Octavio yawned and told him that he'll be wearing some of the "nice" clothing he hadn't touched in a while. Elliott seemed a little on edge about this since...you know...Octavio doesn't have the best taste in fashion. He was worried that Octavio would so up looking like some street rat.

He cringed at the thought of Octavio showing up like a total bum. He couldn't let that happen to him, not to a dear friend. He'd be the laughing stock of the whole school and he'd be the weirdo who hangs with him. He had to do something to stop this potential disaster.

"Um, hey! Why don't we go find something nice to wear, huh? Doesn't that sound like an amazing plan?"

Octavio didn't really seem interested in finding anything, especially with Elliott. He loved him, he really did but...the way he is, it's just knowing him.. he will end up looking like some over-the-top fancy pants if he let Elliott help him out. He didn't want that, not at all.

"Ahh, gracias amigo. I think i'm just fine though." Octavio nervously chuckled trying to escort Elliott to the front door.

"Aww, come on! How bad can it be, besides you've got your old friend Elliott here to ahem help you out."

"Let me think about it...Hmmm. No." he said before pushing Elliott out the door and slamming it shut, leaving Elliott outside and continuously knocking on his door. "Come on man! I thought we were homies." he cried out but Octavio ignored him. He could care less about what he wore to the dance...well, maybe he cared a little bit. He did want to look nice for her.

Just thinking about dancing and having fun with Natalie barely had him sitting still. Should he let Elliott help him..? He didn't know, his mind was in all sorts of places at the moment. "Ugh" he grunted before he threw himself onto the bed, gazing out the window beside him. Trying to decide on what to do.

"This one is cute, Nat come take a look!" Ajay said, her eyes fixated on a blue sparkling dress with ruffles on the bottom. She thought it would look beautiful on Natalie since the color matched her sky blue eyes. "Oh mon, Ajay, this is such a beautiful dress!" she said as she went to pick it off the hanger. "It's perfect, mercí Ajay."

"Yuh welcome, anything for a friend."

Natalie looked over at Renee who already had a dress picked out, a darkish purple dress that revealed part of her back. "Hey, um, do you think Elio- people would like this?" Renee hesitantly asked.

"Of course, I never thought you'd go for a dress that revealing." Ajay winked and Renee blushed before quickly turning away. Natalie chuckled before saying "Do you have a dress picked out yet?"

Ajay smirked as she lifted her arm showing the two girls her long red dress that had been resting on her arm for the past couple minutes. "What do y'all think of this?" she proudly asked

"It's beautiful, i'm sure it'll look nice on you." Said Natalie and Renee nodded in agreement.
"Why, thank ya." Ajay smiled. "Now let's go pay."
———
"Your total will be $749.89" the cashier lady said looking at the three girls whose souls seemed to have just left their body after hearing that total.

"It's okay guys, I got dis" Ajay said, even though the relationship with her parents weren't that strong, they still always send a check of four thousand dollars every month so Ajay could use it however she pleases. She hands the lady her credit card before the other two girls looked at each other and looked back. "The perks of having rich parents" Renee said and they all laughed.
——-
"Thank you come again!" the lady said as the three walked out the store. "What a day." Ajay said as she yawed. It was getting pretty dark out and the girls were pretty exhausted from all that shopping. Renee was resting on Ajay's shoulder trying to keep herself from falling asleep as they all waited for the bus, but it wasn't coming for another half hour.

They all waiting in silence, Ajay was looking through a magazine she found while Renee was fast asleep on her shoulder after some time fighting it. Natalie was lost in her thoughts. Wondering what Octavio was going to show up at the dance with or even what he was going to think of her dress. She sighed in fear that he wasn't going to like what she'll wear. But she kept her head up high because she didn't want to be down before the big day.

"Elliott." Octavio sighed. "I need your help."
