Chapter 38

Alicia's POV.

*two months later; graduation day*

"Come here, Alicia. Aayusin ko yung buhok mo..." My mom called me. I approached her and sat on the floor. She started to do my hair and it finished after a few more minutes. "Look at the mirror." she smiled. I stood up and looked at my hair through the mirror. "Wow ang galing! Mom, turo mo po to sakin ha?" I asked my mom. She nodded, "Sure, oo naman!" and she said. "We better go..." my dad appeared from the end of the staircase, brushing his hair with his hand up. "Yeah, we better. Whoo! Excited na ko!" I cheered. They both chuckled and my mom brought out my toga. We all hopped in the car including my brother, Kyle.

We drove to our school. And we were just in time because the program was just about to start. "Here's your toga. Wear it now." my mom put my toga to me. "Thanks. I'm going to my line now." I told them, "See you later. Bye mom and dad. And Kyle." I smiled, waving my hand at them as I walk to my position.

Moments later, the speaker said, "Hello, good afternoon! The program is about to start. So everyone please be quiet and enjoy. Thank you." We all got ready as the music started. "Excited here!" Kath cheered. I giggled, "Same." I smiled, and removed the little dirt in Kath's shoulder. "Ay thanks. Uy Larry! Cody! Tuloy ba tayo bukas?" Kath asked them. They both nodded, "Oo! Tuloy na tuloy tayo..." Cody saud before he walked in the aisle towards his seat. "Oy saan yan?" I asked them. Larry just shrugged and headed to his seat. I faced Kath and raised my brow. "Ikaw na." she said. Okay, saved by the bell.

I walked towards my seat, smiling a sweet smile. After everyone has found their seats, the graduation program started.

"Students, stand for your thanksgiving song." the speaker said, making all of us to stand in unison. We all went to our pwesto on stage and fixed ourselves, getting ready for our performance. We started to sing our thanksgiving song.

"That's a wonderful performance you got there, graduates! You may now go back to your seats for the closing ceremony." we followed just what the speaker said. "Ang cute ni Alicia kanina e!" Alyssa complimented me. "Thanks!" then I giggled.

"This is John Anthony Reyes," the guy host said, "And I'm Patricia Gonzales." followed by the girl. "Congratulations to all of the graduates!" then they both said. We stood up and went to our parents. "Hi mom and dad!" I grinned. "Congratulations, honey!" said my mom then kissed me. "Thank you po!" I smiled. "Congrats, Alicia!" my dad hugged and kissed my head. "Oh, go ahead and find your friends! Let's take pictures." mom said. I grabbed Kath, and Alyssa and took a picture with them. Well, most of them were selfies. "Hey! Tawagin mo sila Larry!" I told Kath. She nodded and looked for them. She came back after a while. "Hey! Let's take a picture, dali." my mom took our picture. "Mom, we'll take selfies." I took the ipad from her and we took selfies. A bunch of selfies.

"Ui Ernest! Sali ka na!" Larry called Ernest. "Sige ba!" then Ernest went beside Larry. "Last group of selfies na to ha." I said before tapping the capture button.

"Mom, dad! We're just going to give back the toga." I told my parents. "Sure anak. Sige lang." dad said. We walked to a room and put our togas there. We took selfies with some of our teachers and classmates.

"Oi! Can I join?" Ron appeared in front of me, after I tapped the button. I grinned, "Ron!" I hugged him. "Sure you can!" I grabbed hum and put him beside me. We made goofy faces and took a picture of it.

We took our last photo because Alyssa had to leave already. We said our goodbyes to her and she left. "Oops! You can't go without a picture with me. Solo." I stopped Ron. "Ah, okay." I gave my ipad to Kath and she took a picture of me and Ron. "Selfies." I took my ipad back and we took selfies.

"Ron!" I heard Mrs. De Guzman called. I turned around and waved at her. "Hello po tita!" I hugged her. "Okay ka na?" she whispered, careful not to be heard by my parents. "Yea, I'm a lot better na po." I smiled. "That's good! Well, sorry ha. Kelangan na namin umuwi e... Magcecelebrate pa kami... Alam mo na!" she patted my shoulder. "Oh okay po tita! Bye bye!" I waved goodbye to them.

"Mom, let's go na?" I asked. "Yeah, let's go." they carried their bags and we went home.
