Ciel turned on the video camera and grabbed his guitar, smiling at the lens pointed at him.

"Hey Sebby~" He said with a giggle. "So, even though I'm hella broke, and you live super far away from me, I still wanted to give you something for your birthday. So, I'm going to play you a song. It might not be much, but it's all I've got for you at the moment. Anyway, I'm sure you'll recognize this song right away. Here goes nothing, I guess." He grabbed his pick and put his fingers in the right place before he started to play. He started singing as well.

"Stay for tonight

He paused for a moment, changing his strumming pattern as he continued.

He started singing the chorus, starting to realize how much he really missed his boyfriend, though they'd never actually met in real life.

He started the second verse, smiling sadly.

As he sang the chorus again, he felt tears form in his eyes.

He blinked his tears away in an effort to not seem weak, but to no avail, as they would only start forming again.

'To hell with looking weak.' He decided, letting the tears slip down his face. It didn't affect his singing though.

He looked right at the camera as he sang the final chorus a cappella.

He smiled weakly as the tears continued to pour down his face. "I love you, Sebastian. And I miss you..." He turned off the camera and buried his face in his hands, finally allowing himself to let everything out.

Lizzie heard him crying and came into his room silently. She sat on the bed next to him and gently moved his guitar out of his lap. She hugged him tightly.

He cried into her shoulder. Why did it have to be this way? Why did Sebastian have to be all the way in Georgia while he was stuck hundreds of miles away in Iowa? It wasn't fair, but then again, life was never fair, was it?
