It's kind of hard to fall in love when you have 2 over-protective best friends, but Evelynn somehow managed to do it. She falls in love, not really knowing if he was 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗼𝗻𝗲.
"𝐝𝐢𝐝 𝐲𝐨𝐮 𝐞𝐧𝐣𝐨𝐲 𝐝𝐢𝐧𝐧�...
The bell rings for first period, which for me is.... great. Double English. I let out a heavy and annoyed sigh, and make my way to my locker when my sight goes black.
"guess who?" a familiar voice says as his hands cover my eyes. I let out a soft giggle and pull his hands away as I turn around.
"Hey Sam, what's up?" I look at him as his head is down.
"I just wanted to say-" he stops.
"oh my god! Did you hear about Carmen? She FINALLY broke up with Jason" I cut him off. I go on and on about random gossip when he covers my mouth with his hand.
"hold up Ev, can I speak first?" he chuckles.
"oh- sorry yeah sure go ahead." I turn back around to get my books out of my locker.
"I just wanted to say- uh I'm sorry for what I said earlier in form.." He walks up beside me and leans against the lockers. "It was really messed up and I shouldn't have said something horrible like that."
"oh Sam.. It's totally fine!" I give him a soft smile as the bell rings. "Walk with me?" I ask him, and he agrees. Everything was back to normal, I mean he never acts out that bad, so it was kinda weird.
I had science first period and we were learning about enzymes? I don't know I wasn't really paying attention until our head walked in, which made me spit out my water and quickly put my phone away; I sat up straight and pretended to know what I was doing.
"uh yeah! so then this diagram right here shows..." I say to my partner when I girl walks into my sight.
"Everyone, this is Venus Marshall. She's our exchange student from Italy! Please treat her with respect. Oh! One more thing, Samuel Sullivan?" shit shit shit shit. he knows. shit shit SHIT. I raise my hand.
"yes sir?..." I say quietly.
"Would you be kind enough to show Ms Marshall around today? She also needs to know what her classes are, so could you take her to the office for her timetable?"
I sigh in relief and nod. "yes sir, anything is better than being here.." the class laugh as I say that.
"Yes yes Mr Sullivan. Be on your best behavior." I nod to him and I pack up my things, and wave to the girl.
"Hey my names Sam" I say with a warm smile as I pull out my hand. She takes it and replies
"Venus" She smiles back. "I did not miss this place.. It look exactly like I did when I left." I look at her in confusion. "OH. Righttt. I was born here, but my whole family moved to Italy. Best choice ever." she rolls her eyes.
"That explains the accent, haha." I chuckle. "Anyway! Let's start this tour, I meant what I said back there by the way. Science is horrible." I roll my eyes as she giggles. "So this is obviously the science floor, all the classrooms are labs for experiments and all that nerdy shit" she laughs.
"okay okay.. this looks.. filthy.." she looks with a disgusted look.
"finally someone who agrees!" I lift my hands up into the air and she giggles. "so this is the English/Math floor, English is on this side, and Math on the other."
We were walking past the English classrooms, I notice that we were walking past Evelynn's class. A small smirk forms on my face and I squish my nose onto the small door window, hoping she would see.
My head in in my hands because I can't STAND his voice anymore. I'm looking out the window wondering when we'll be let free, when I see some fog on the door's window. My mood immediately lightens up and a big smile forms on my face. I start to mouth things to him:
"what are you doing? how did you get out of class?" He then moves out of the way and a short girl, with beautiful blue eyes takes his place. She begins to wave at me, and I didn't want to be rude so I waved back in confusion. Sam comes back, and I mouth again "who is she?" I say with an annoyed face.
"a new girl, she's pretty right?" he says with a smirk. My smile fades and I nod in response as they go out of my view. I wonder who she was. She was very pretty, Sam was right. I definitely can't assume anything.. can I? I mean look at her, did you see her?! I'm obviously not pretty enough. Wait- why am I even thinking about it- Snap out of it Evelynn. I pinch my arm and focus on the lesson.
