Luke loved taking advantage of his parents house when they went away for business. It happened one weekend of every month, and every student in their grade looked forward to it. A handful of older siblings bought them liquor and beer in exchange for cash or alibis.

Y/n weaved her way through all of the bodies in the living room and stumbled into the kitchen, glaring at the girl who clicked her tongue at her. She rolled her eyes as she made her way over to her brother, who was happily sipping from a beer bottle as he sat on the kitchen counter with his boyfriend between his legs.

"Alex," she called over the music.

"Hey, baby Mercer," Willie greeted with a wide, toothy smile.

"Hey, Will," she gave him a friendly smile before turning to Alex again. "I'm heading home, kay? Are you staying here?" She asked.

"Would you hate me if I went home with Willie?" Alex smiled innocently.

"Just don't get pregnant," she teased tiredly.

"Ha, ha, how original" Alex rolled his eyes. "You okay staying home alone?" He asked.

"Yeah, I'm good. I'll see you tomorrow," she waved at both of them before starting back through the living room.

The chill in the air hit her hard once she finally made it to the porch. Her arms wrapped tightly around herself as she started down at the lawn, sucking in a breath of freezing cold air.

"Y/n!" She turned around at the call of her name and stopped walking as Luke came jogging down the porch. "You're leaving early," he pointed out.

"Yeah, I'm just really tired. I had a long week," she said, shuffling her feet.

"Alex told us about your boyfriend... or, ex boyfriend. I'm sorry about that," he frowned. She laughed humorlessly as she tilted her head down towards the cement.

"It's whatever," she shrugged. "I'm not going to let some asshole football player have any effect over me," she shook her head as she started walking again. "I shouldn't have gone out with him in the first place, he's really, really not my type."

"So why did you go out with him?" Luke asked. He slipped his jacket off and draped it over her shoulders, smiling softly when she pushed her arms into the sleeves and hugged herself again.

"I don't know, I guess I was tired of being alone," she sighed, approaching her house.

"But you're not alone. You have Alex, and Willie, and Reggie, and me," he poked her side, making her smile softly as they stood on her front porch.

"That's not the kind of lonely I meant," she sighed as she unlocked the door and stepped inside of the warm house.

"I think my point still stands," he shrugged, following her into the house.

"Um, yeah, no, my brother and his boyfriend were on that list so, again, no," she laughed as she hung her keys on the hook beside the door.

"I didn't mean them," Luke said, biting his lip as he gently pressed her to the wall. She gasped softly, looking up at Luke with wide eyes. Her chest heaved slightly as he leaned down, giving her ample time to push him away. She didn't.

His hands came up to her waist as his lips finally met hers. He kissed her softly at first, waiting to see if she'd push him away, slowly deepening it when she still didn't. She cupped his jaw with one hand and pulled him closer with her other hand at his back. His hands slipped below the seam of her shirt, tracing along her hips, up the curve of her sides to her back, his hands cold against her skin. Y/n pulled away with a groan once she felt his tongue against her bottom lip.

"That, um, I would love to keep going but I'm exhausted and you have a house full of people across the street," she whispered, voice shaky. Luke's fingers retraced their steps from her back to her sides to her hips as he sighed.

"Let me take you out tomorrow," he said, rubbing his thumb against her hip.

"I'm sorry, is that a question or a demand?" She teased. He chuckled, ducking his head.

"Can I take you on a date tomorrow?" He rephrased.

"Yes," Y/n smiled softly up at him. Luke leaned down and pressed another kiss to her lips before taking his hands off of her.

"Alex is totally going to kill me," he muttered as he started out of the door. She laughed as she watched him walk away from the porch, her smile widening when he turned back to wave at her. She closed the front door with a sigh, squealing with excitement as she threw herself onto the couch, trying to memorize the feeling of his hands on her skin.
