I woke up the next morning still in shock from the night before. I rolled out of bed and walked over to my dresser. My eyes were puffy and swollen and my hair was a mess.

I twisted my hair into a low bun, it was messy and hair fell onto my face. I smeared on concealer to hide the darkness on my under eyes and rolled some mascara onto my lashes.

Before looking away from the mirror I held onto the small pendant that was gifted to me by Ron. I gently lifted my hands behind my neck and clipped it off. I placed it onto a little dish on my night stand and got dressed.

I pulled on my robes and turned around to see Hermione giving me a sympathetic smile as she got up from her chair and walked over to wrap her arm around mine.

We walked out of our gloomy room and to the common room. When we entered Ron and Harry were sitting at a table in the back corner. Ron looked up as I walked in, his eyes were dark and wouldn't leave me. Hermione looked and pulled me away to leave for the great hall to grab breakfast.

As we walked down the halls Ginny walked towards us, "hey guys!" She said cheery

"Hey" I said quietly

"What's wrong?" She asked looking at Hermione

"Ron and her broke up" Hermione said rubbing my shoulder

Those words stung as they rolled off her tongue could we really be over just like that?

"What?" She yelped, "I'll go talk to him"

I grabbed her arm and pulled her back to me, "no don't please.. just come eat breakfast with us"

"Okay" she smiled and wrapped her arm around my other one

The three of us walked into the great hall linked together and sat at the ravenclaw table with Luna.

I stayed pretty silent the whole morning I wasn't in the mood to make much conversation. Luna, Ginny, and Hermione were chatting about their plans for after school when I turned around to look at the gryffindor table.

I saw Ron and Harry sitting with some of the boys that they share a dorm with. I locked eyes with Harry as he tossed me a angry look. Ron turned around to see what Harry was focusing so coldly at and was stunned to see me.

I quickly turned away back to my friends, my eyes began to fill with tears a bit but I tucked them away and decided to focus on the conversation at the table.

We finished eating and walked to class together. Luna and Ginny had a different class then Hermione and I so we parted ways a couple minutes into our walk.

Hermione and I walked in silence to potions class when Fred and George blocked our way, "hello ladies" George said smugly

"Hey" I said trying to hide my sadness

"Hermione" Fred said kissing her on the cheek

"Hi Fred" she said softly

"Well we just wanted to let you guys know about the party we are having tonight, it's New Years ya know" George said giving us both little cards with a time and place

"We are having it in the astronomy tower" Fred said excitedly

"Okay thanks guys" Hermione said waving by and turning to me

I waved by to the ginger twins and resumed my walk to class, "we can stay in if you want" Hermione said

"No let's go I wanna get my mind off of things" I said trying to be cheery

"Okay"

We made it to potions class, Ron and Harry had beaten us and sat together. I know I wasn't planning on sitting with Ron but it still shocked me to not see him at our desk.
