After this weekend, things went back to normal; or nearly to normal. You may had let the truth slip from your lips but it had not been the entire truth. You were still scared to let him in only to get hurt once more. Without meaning it, you pushed him away at times and it came to a point, where you both just saw each other in your songwriting class.

"Hey Y/N," Steve greeted as he entered. You looked up at him and waited for the brunette to come along but he didn't.

"Hey Steve," you greeted with your laptop before you.

"How is it going?" the blonde asked as he took a seat next to you.

"Not that well. I still can't write something good. There was a short time that I had the feeling that it would get better but now, it is bad again," you answered, glaring at your keyboard like it was insulting you.

"Where is Bucky?" you asked suddenly, a look of hurt sparking in your eyes. You covered it by looking down.

"Buck has the same problem as you. He has locked himself up and would only open to take the food I'd set down for him," Steve reported. Your face fell even more. Not a word was spoken before the blonde decided to bring up something that bothered him for the past weeks.

"Has anything happened between you guys?" Your head snapped up and you frowned as you thought about it.

"No, nothing I'd know of." The art mayor took a deep breath and nodded his head.

"I only ask because you both are my friends. I've noticed that you both were doing much together and now; you won't see each other anymore so I wondered if there had been anything..." he trailed off.

"Nothing has happened. It's just me..." you trailed off as well and looked one last time down. You had noticed how much it brought you down not to see the handsome brunette with his metal arm and his stormy blue eyes.

"I've never told this anyone but I don't want to be limited by it anymore. Steve, I like Bucky very much but every time I get too close to people in that way, they tear me down and leave me broken to pieces. To be honest, I'm scared to be too close to him, not because of who he is but-"

"But that you'll get hurt again." The blonde finished your sentence as you couldn't. With a sympathetic smile, he pulled you close and hugged you for a moment.

"If it wasn't for you, I'd probably not tell you but I know for a fact that he would tear himself apart before hurting you." Your head whipped upwards to stare at the blue-eyed with huge eyes.

"He told me how you beat Mike and he said he never had a thing for Hermione but your action reminded him of her and he found it absolutely stunning that you did that for him," he stated with a chuckle. A small blush tinted your cheeks as you remembered the day and that it really was like in the Harry Potter movies.

A question wormed its way up and onto your tongue till it finally slipped from your lips.

"What do I do now?" It took a moment for an answer to form in both your heads.

"You should talk to him. Tell him how you feel and why you act the way you do." You smiled at your friend that you were thankful for when it came to moments like these.

"Okay, I'll do it under one condition," you looked at him as you stood up. "You tell Peggy how you feel and no if's and but's. If I decide to finally do what is needed, you'll do the same." Now it was Steve's turn to blush like mad.

With a smile on your face, you made your way down to Steve's and Bucky's dorm. He had left the door open and so you made your direct way to the brunette's room. You stopped in front of the closed door and knocked the same way he did some weeks ago. You heard nothing on the other side of the door and so, you tried again.
