We have finally arrived to the river. Everything is as I remember. The current of the river is calm and everything is in harmony. I can hear some birds and breathe fresh air.
Mom prepares the picnic area and Dad takes out his rod to go fishing. After a few minutes, we are all eating cake and drinking lemonade. The food is delicious and the sound of the river's water makes me feel relaxed.
Hailey wants to play hide and seek, but no one else wants. I feel bad for her because she is only 9, that means that she is the youngest sister and now she feels lonely. So I decide to play with her.
We determined that I'm going to seek her, so I start counting. 1..2..3..4 ... 5..6 ... 7..8..9..10. I start looking for her. I see her hiding behind a tree, so I start running towards her. She looks at me and runs too. She gets really close to the river, so I start to worry. "Hailey, stop!" I scream but she doesn't hear me.
I run as fast as I can and I see that Hailey stops. I feel relieved. I don't notice a stone on the ground and I trip over it. I fall into the river. I can't swim, that's why I'm crying out for help. Hailey looks at me shocked, she is very young, so I understand why she does not look for help. She is too scared.
Justin was walking near us and he heard me. He looked for help and I see my family and other people coming. The river current gets harder and I lose control. I feel desperate and I start to sink. The river was deep and under the water, I see a red flash. After that, I noticed that there are big rocks in front of me, and I hit my head on one of them.
My family managed to get me out of the river. I hear the sirens of the ambulance and I lose consciousness.
