Wearing the lenses feels wrong, but to me, it's necessary. Closing the door to connecting with my soulmates feels like the best thing I can do for them. I'm not going to take chances.

When I leave the building, small droplets of water greet me and I stand there, letting the rain soak me with its gentle caress for a while. I sigh. Should I prepare myself now to spend the rest of my life alone? I don't want to spend it feeling sad for myself, I'll just focus on what's in front of me.

I catch a cab driving by and step inside. After telling the driver my address, I sit back and enjoy the sound of rain on the window as we approach my destination.

"Y/N, we're here!" I hear from the front door. I rush out of bed and leave my room to see the girls removing their shoes. "Hey" I greet them softly and walk to the living room where I proceed to let myself flop down on one of the bean bags.

"Is everything okay? You sound tired... and sad?" Jisoo asks me and I smile at her gentleness. "I'm fine, Jisoo. Just tired. Today was a long day". She hums and sits on the bean bag next to mine. Rosé, Lisa and Jennie all sit side by side on the couch facing us and they all turn to me.

"So, tell us, what's the deal with the maths teacher?" Lisa starts and I try to organize my thoughts.

"Okay... so you know that the teacher is... a bit obsessed with students that fail his classes" I say, watching as they all nod, not really knowing where this is heading because his obsession is nothing new.

"Well, since last year honestly, I've always felt him staring at me from the corner of my eyes. It made me uncomfortable, but it never went further than that, so I just let it go. But when I entered his class for the first time this year, something had changed. A hand brushing against the skin of my hand, my arm, my waist".

Lisa and Rosé's eyes flicker red. They're starting to understand where this is going. Jennie is about to say something but I stop her. "Let me continue first". She nods and closes her mouth.

"When I kept failing my tests and exams, no matter how much I studied... he... offered me a deal. And since then, he's been really insistent and it's really starting to scare me". Lisa frowns. "You mentioned an offer yesterday too. What kind of deal is it?".

Rosé stares at me with deep red eyes, her fists tightened so much she could bleed and I see her pointy teeth stick out and pierce the corners of her lips, leaving blood to start flowing down her chin. She wipes it with her arm, licking the two small holes with her tongue to stop the bleeding.

"You never thought to tell us sooner? To tell me?" she growls and I feel myself become smaller into the bean bag. Jennie settles a hand on her shoulder to calm her down a little. "Rosé, she's not who we should get mad against".

The vampire's eyes flash a pale blue before she closes them. "You're right, I'm sorry. I still feel hurt though. This has been going on for a long time, so to hear it only now...". I sigh and let my head hang low. "I'm sorry, to all of you. I thought I could handle this by myself, I thought he would stop eventually. I was wrong".

Jisoo comes to sit on my bean bag and I scoot to the side to give her some space. She takes me in her arms gently. "I'm sorry you have to go through that".
