Chapter thirty-four

The morning of Draco's birthday-

"Morning birthday boy!" You said excitedly handing him breakfast in bed "morning Princess. Thank you." He said kissing you on the forehead "your welcome Dragon boy." You noticed his smile had faded "what's worrying you." You said sitting beside him "tomorrow.. we're having the meeting with The Dark lord.." "it will be okay. We go, we listen, we leave." "Yeah.. your mum is going as well." "Well I don't want to see that face of hers! Come on it's your birthday, have some fun!" You said kissing him on his cheek.

"Y/n, Draco come down please" Narcissa said gently "we're coming." You both said "come on, we'll have fun today, at least try!" You said trying to get him to feel a little better "okay I'll try! yes?" Draco said to Narcissa "Draco, it's your birthday! Come on! We've got you presents!" "Mum I love it but, really I think this year isn't the best for celebrating! I feel rubbish, thanks though." "No." You and Narcissa said "what do you mean no?" Draco said "I mean that you're having a good birthday wether you want to or not!" "Ugh fine."

You and Draco's parents gave him his presents and he opened them. "I love them thanks" he said quietly "get up!" You said "what?" "I said get up, we're going for a walk!" "A walk? Where?" "I don't know we'll see on the way." You said "do you really think going for a walk is best right now?" Draco said looking out the window "yeah I do since nothing else can make you happy on your birthday!" "Fine let me go get changed."

You both went to get changed. You got into a black long sleeved top and a white skirt with black tights. "You're my birthday present y/n. You're so beautiful and loving. I love you." Draco said looking at you "aww that's so cute Draco. I love you to baby." You said kissing him "what are you going to wear?" You asked "black trousers, turtleneck and blazer." "Of course you are." You giggled "come on, let's go"

You headed out of the mansion and started your walk "how do you think this year will go?" Draco said worriedly "I'm not sure but as long as I'm with you it will be fine." "I could die! You could die! The dark lord wants Harry dead! He will fight until Harry's dead! There won't be a fight without one of us dying!" Draco cried "hey! Come one. We won't die! Maybe we just stick to the dark side! Do what The dark lord tells us to and we might not die!" You said hopelessly "that's a good idea!"
"Just forget about that and we'll talk about something else. Okay?"
"Yes" he said quietly

You arrived in a Black Forest which was damp and cold. "This is beautiful!" You both said at the same time. "Jinx" you said "I can't believe how gorgeous this is." You said again "I know. This is one of the many things that keeps me going. Obviously you're the first thing." "You're so cute." "I know."

It started raining "OH MY GOD! I LOVE IT WHEN IT RAINS" you screamed. You walked up to Draco and grabbed his hand "take my hand." He held your hand and looked into your eyes. He closed his eyes still holding your hand "pull me close and take one step" he opened his eyes and pulled you in and gripped hold of your waist. He started dancing around with you "keep your eyes in line with mine Princess" he said "promise me. You'll never leave me." You said dancing in the rain "I would never leave. I promise." He said tipping you upside down "happy birthday Dragon boy." "Thank you y/n" 

After your little dance-
"didn't you know that you could dance like that?!"
"You don't know everything about me" you said "there's more about you?!" "Yes. I can speak parseltounge" "you can?!" Draco yelled "yes are you mad?" You said shaking "no! No of course not that's so cool!" He shouted "oh good thank you. I never use it but unless I have to I will." "That's fine."

You walked back to Dracos house and covered his eyes "wh- what are you doing?" "Surprise!!" You yelled. He opened his eyes and saw the cake that narcissa made him. It was green which said Draco at the bottom. "Oh thank you! I love cake. Yum" "you're very welcome!" "Did you make it?" "No silly. Whilst I took you on the walk Narcissa made it." You said "oh thanks mum." "Youre welcome son." She said "sooo do you want to open presents now or have dinner first?" "Dinner. What are we having?" "A feast of everything you like." Lucius said "yes! Thanks guys! Love you." He said running up to the table. You giggled at him and then you started eating.

"Thanks guys. I wasn't expecting a good birthday because of what is going on but it has been alright." Draco said quietly "yeah we get it. Don't worry." You could see Lucius staring at you so you stared back at him "yes?" You said smugly "don't give me that 'yes'" he glared "k" you said arrogantly "Draco take y/n upstairs please." Narcissa said "I'm sorry he just annoys me." "No dont worry. It's not you." Draco took you upstairs "thanks for today y/n I love you." "No problem. I love you to Draco"

You overheard Lucius and Narcissa shouting at each other loudly "she is living with us now so just act like a grown man for heavens sake!"
"She's a piece of crap! Giving me the bad attitudes in my own house!" He shouted, you gasped and walked away "y/n I'm sorry about him! Please don't listen to him, I'm going to go sort him out!" Draco whined "it's okay" you said angrily "no.. you don't look okay.." "I'm fine" "I'm going. Stay here."

"Dad! Y/n has just heard everything you said! You cow! She's really offended. You called her a piece of Crap, the only crap in this house is you. If you don't like her leave because she's staying for a while!" You walked in "thank you Lucius I really appreciate your kind words about me. You're so loving and talk about people so nicely, thank you." You said sarcastically as you walked up to him and pulled his hair "OW!"
"Good. Come one Draco let's go."
