Chapter Four

As I ran through the alleys of Tortuga, I heard distinctive cackling.. my uncle. I heard footsteps behind me, I ran faster as they got louder. "Come ere y/n...I won't hurt you...badly.." I could hear the smirk in his voice as he got closer to me. I turned a corner but it was a dead end, I could try running out the other way, but it was too late.. he had caught up to me. He walked slowly up to me. His eyes glowing with hunger, he punched me, dislocating my jaw. He grabbed it and put it back in place, only do dislocate it again. I screamed as loud as I could, hoping someone could hear me.. I started sobbing..

*jack's pov*
I wake up to the sound of y/n screaming and crying. I jolt up and stroke her hair trying desperately to calm her down.. She doesn't stop screaming, I resort to waking her up, but how?

I yell her name hoping she could hear me.. She suddenly jolts up sobbing, I wrap my arms around her and she melts into the hug, still crying.
The door handle starts to move and Will walks in, panicking. "What's happening? What did you do to her?!" He yells, I shake my head and his face relaxes. "Did she have another nightmare?" He asks. I nod and look down at y/n who's sobbing had calmed. "Wait what do you mean another?" I ask Will, "well when y/n's mum had died, her father was still out at sea, so she had to go to her uncle. No one knew how abusive he really was, so they trusted him.. he abused y/n for fourteen years, but he came after her one time, in Tortuga, but since she had grown since then.." he explains. "I killed him.." y/n finishes as she speaks from my arms. She looks up at me with tears brimming her eyes. "The nightmares happen almost every night.."
Will makes sure she's okay and goes back to bed. I kiss the top of her head and she lays down, I wrap my arms protectively around her as she falls asleep.
