AMELIA WINTERS HAD BEEN AROUND FOR A LONG TIME. Turned by the very vampire who had turned the Salvatore brothers, Amelia had a seriously dark past. Winters was turned a year before the Salvatore brothers, but she never stuck around long enough to get to know them or her sire. Katherine let her go, for she had only turned her for a good time. Amelia hated the brunette for what she had done to her, but couldn't control her own thirst enough to do anything about it. She went on a rampage in which lasted about a decade. She was on her own for a while, before eventually hearing from the Salvatore brothers and coming to their aid to take down Katherine once and for all. The two brothers ultimately died, but so did Katherine.
Amelia escaped before It was too late, and fled once again. The young Vampire found herself In New Orleans, hoping for a fresh start.. but she had no Idea that she was walking into originals territory.

-Amelia was present for a majority of TVD's season 6-8 events, and came to know the Salvatore brothers quite well. She was friends with them, and was hit hard when they died. She went to new Orleans in search of a fresh start, hoping to leave her tragic past behind.
-You can decide what her past was before she was turned, like who her parents were and what they did, what her hobbies were.
-Amelia and Klaus clash at first, but eventually grow on each other when she starts to get close to the Original family. Eventually, she Is invited into their home as a part of their family when she meets Hayley and they become friends.
-She tries not to talk about her past, but their dark pasts are something Klaus and Amelia bond over, and they feel a strong urge to protect each other.
-Klaus denies his feelings at first, but Amelia sees into his schemes and doesn't believe that he's the monster he acts like he is, because she was the same way when she went off the deep end. She knows what It's like to feel alone, and she makes It her goal to get Klaus to understand that he doesn't have to be a monster.
