I've been around the world, it's true
Searchin' for someone exactly like you
I finally found a love that's true
You heard story, you heard just what I said
The one that I love she might as well be dead
Finally found a love that's true, oh, oh, oh, oh
You heard my story you know how I feel
You got me spinnin' like a spinnin' wheel
And finally found a love that true
I've been around the world, it's true
Searchin' for someone exactly like you
And finally found a love that's true
And finally found a love that's true

Ok I am back! Okay, so I have been OBSESSED with The Animals for the past three weeks. Like I have been listening to them non stop. It all began when I looked up someone's Spotify and saw "The House Of The Rising Sun" and pretty soon that song got stuck in my head.
Now I have known about The Animals and have some of their albums (including an original "Very Best Of The Animals" from 1966 as well as a new issue, two of their 45's, and their "Animalism" album from 1966) but didn't fully explore them. I have always loved their cover of "Roadrunner" and some of their blues songs. I knew of Eric but not of the other guys.
So like any kid like me, I began listening to them and found out besides Eric, there is Hilton, Chas, Alan, and John (and Dave from 65-66). I am kinda not active on my social media's much these days but I eventually followed Hilton, who is my favorite. I began playing some of his riffs and got into his solo career (Which his album "All In Your Head" is a MASTERPIECE!) A few weeks ago, I bought more Animals vinyls and tagged him in a post on Twitter, which re retweeted and recommended me songs to try out on guitar.

This past Saturday, I found out that Hilton passed away

This past Saturday, I found out that Hilton passed away. I am still in utter shock. I wish I have gotten into The Animals earlier than I did and told Hilton how much the Animals mean to me. We also lived in the same state too.

But the song, "I've Been Around" is an tune by Fats Domino. Eric Burdon absolutely loves rhythm and blues and looked up to African American singers for influence. He originally released it in 1959, five years before the Animal's cover.
His version is great, but Alan Price's keyboard playing really makes The Animal's version pop. Alan is a mastermind at the keyboard. The intro, along with Hilton's easy guitar playing, makes it seem so vintage and cute in my opinion. Alan's beautiful keyboard playing is heard throughout the piece with an great little solo done by Hilton (he plays it as smooth as butter). It's a rather shorter song, clocking in at 1:39, but it is song with soul and feeling. The best is also groovy as well, and I like how it's a little faster than Fat's version. The background singers also make the song, I don't know who they are, but I like how their voices aren't deep but aren't high.
Overall, it's a great song and I recommend to check it out!
