Fifth-year flew by and I headed home for the summer. I was always writing to Ron, and surprisingly, he wrote me back.

My crush only grew for him, even more, when I kept receiving letters from him.

I wanted nothing more than to go back to Hogwarts and throw myself in his arms. I knew it sounded a little pathetic, but I couldn't wait.

It's here! It's finally here! The day I've been waiting for, where I start my sixth year at Hogwarts! I got to platform 9 3/4 and immediately ran through the wall.

When I boarded the train I looked everywhere for Ron.

I searched every compartment only to find him in the last one. A smile grew upon my face when I saw him, but then I saw her. Hermione Granger.

She and him were laughing hysterically at who knows what.

"Hey Ron, mind if I sit with you" I interrupted. Hermione gave me a weird stare.

Ron said "Oh sorry Lavender but Harry will be on soon, I promised I would save a seat for him, but I will see you back at Hogwarts" "Ok" I responded as I despondently walked to another compartment.

I could have sworn I heard that filthy mudblo- I mean Hermione snicker as I walked away, but I just ignored it. As we arrived at Hogwarts, I dropped my stuff off and headed to the Great Hall.

Ron walked past me with Hermione and Harry following, I waved at him and I actually got a wave back. "

Hey guys I'll be right there," Ron said to the people he was sitting with. He started to walk over to me "Hey Lavender, how was your summer" Ron said excitedly.

"Oh it was great, I went to the beach, read some books, had a picnic, and tended to my garden" I responded.

"Oh nice, well anyways, would you like to come sit with us," He asked me. My eyes lit up and a smile formed on my face.

Why was I this excited to sit with Ron for dinner, well who wouldn't be? "Of course, thank you," I said while standing up.

I walked over to where Ron's friends were sitting. "Hey I'm Seamus, you must be Ron's girlfriend," the boy said while winking. My cheeks started to turn pink and then they died down as soon as Ron replied "No, we're just friends".

We continued to eat after Dumbledore gave his long speech, as usual.

Sitting with them was great that night, it was good to know that I now have friends, well I think I do.

"I hope to see you sit with us from now on, maybe" Ron questioned as we walked back to the common room.

"Of course, I really enjoyed sitting with all of you" I responded happily.
