I'm sitting on the couch in the living room home alone reading when I hear a knock at the front door, I get up and walk to the door and open it to see a crazy pretty pale girl with grey eyes and blonde hair.
"Omg Evelyn!" I jump into her arms
"hey April" she laughs and hugs me back.
Evelyn has been my long time friend, well I guess only for the past six years but its felt like forever. She comes in and sits on the couch, me following close behind and sit beside her.
"So where's your boy toy?" she asks looking around
"He's my boyfriend, not a boy toy and he's at work"
"He works?" she raises an eyebrow at me
"Yeah, so he's gone most days"
"Oh? sorry to hear that, that must suck" her eye lands on the book I was reading before she got her
"Still a book worm I see" I laugh
"More then you know" she stands up and looks at me
"Come on lets go"
"Go where?" she grabs my hand and start dragging me through the door
"To get some ice-cream and snacks. Maybe some alcohol too, I wanna party tonight" she smiles and start skipping down the stairs of my deck until we get to her car. I get in the passenger seat as she gets in the driver seat, turning on the radio before we drive off. About 15 minutes we get to the store and buy a shit ton of junk food, pop, apple juice, ice-cream and some alcohol. We get back to my house and start eating the ice-cream while we watch Greys Anatomy, then dig into the junk food and pop. Next thing we know Greys Anatomy is paused, music is playing and were dancing... drunk. After a couple of hour filled with dancing, drinking and laughing we sit on the couch out of breath. When we sober up we go back to watching our show, drinking the apple juice and eating left over junk food. I wake up to the sun shining on my face, I sit up and look around you see garbage everywhere, empty alcohol bottles, 'are you still watching' on the TV and a sleeping Evelyn on the other couch. I guess we passed out on the couches, I get up and start cleaning up before my parents or Danny comes home. After I'm done I start making some eggs and toast for me and Evelyn, once I'm done cooking I go and wake Evelyn. We eat our breakfast and spend the next few hours talking before she had to leave.
"I'll be back sooner or later" Evelyn said before hugging me and walks to her car. I sit back on the couch and start reading my book until Danny comes home, about three hours later I hear the front door open and steps coming closer until I feel arms wrapping around my neck and a head rest beside mine. I look over and see Danny looking down at my book.
"What you reading?" I look back down at my book and turn it so he can see the cover
"If I fix you" I replied
"You really love this book don't you? what is it, your fourth time reading it?" I laugh and look back at him.
"Yup, it's my favorite. How was your day?" he gets up and sits down beside me so I close the book and put it on the coffee table before turning my body so I'm looking at him.
"My day was good but I'm so tired now" he leans his head back on the back of the couch and sighs.
"Why do they make you work so late?" I ask as I put my elbow on the back of the couch and rest my head on my hand.
"A few people quit so I need to pick up what they couldn't handle" he rolls his head to the side so he's looking at me.
"awe, they suck" he laughs lightly before his eyes travel down to my lips and leans in for a kiss. The moment our lips touch the same feelings I always feel when we kiss start to rise, it's like falling from a tall building, but your not scared. Your arms are out with your back facing the fast coming ground under you but at the same time it feels like you're laying in a flower meadow with the sun shining down on you, hearing the chirps of birds around you. I place my hand on his cheek as I smile into the kiss, I love this feeling.
"How was staying at Tommy's after?"
"It was good-" he lays, putting his head on my lap and look up at me
"-We drank way to much and tommy threw up everywhere. his parents came home and yelled at him, that was awkward... he's to old to be yelled at by his parents but other then that it was fun" he laughed
"I'm glad, Evelyn came over and we got pretty wasted too" I reach down and started playing with his hair
"She came over? how long has it been since she was last here?"
"A couple of months, she's been at her grandmas" he just nods and closes his eyes, enjoying the feeling of me playing with his hair.
It was a cold day out but as I look out the window at the snow falling down onto the snowy grounds underneath it I smile, it was Christmas eve. I continued to make some lunch for me and Danny, today we were gonna spend all day watching movies. As small as it was I was exited since he's been busy with work a lot lately. He comes out of the bedroom just in time as I finish cooking, we eat as we talked about random things and after I put the dishes in the dish washer as he shouts from the living room
"What movie do you wanna start with?" I walk to the living room and sit down beside him
"Ooo how bout nightmare before Christmas? since its Christmas eve" he nods and puts it on and pulls me closer to him, cuddling underneath the fuzzy blanket I had just pulled over us.
We ended up in a roll of animated movies including, 'Frankenweenie', 'Corpse Bride' and 'Coraline'. After the animated movies I made some popcorn and we watched 'Me before you' which ended with me in tears, 'What's eating Gilbert Grape', 'Avatar' and titanic which then Danny had to put up with me yelling at rose that there was enough space on the door for jack too. Danny chose some movies which lead us to watching Xmen one, two and three, after that it was late in the night so we headed up stairs and went to bed. I woke up to Danny shaking me awake with something that smelt delicious, I peaked open my eyes and looked up at him to see I'm smiling down at me.
"Good morning baby, I made some pancakes for you" I slowly sat up
"awe thank you baby, merry Christmas" he leaned down and gave me a kiss
"Merry Christmas" I looked out the window and smiled as the still falling snow filled me with the happiness I always get on Christmas.
The day was filled with laughter, thank you's, opening presents and eating yummy food. Danny and me were now walking into the cold crispy night air, he wanted to take me somewhere and it involved driving cuz he opened the car door for me with a goofy smile on his face. I got into the car and looked out into the night as we drove. After about 15 minute drive we arrived in town and we got out of the car and he grab my hand as we walked around, I was looking around at all the Christmas lights that hung around the trees and buildings when Danny came to a stop, I stopped and looked at him.
"Look up" is all he said so I looked up and see a mistletoe above us hanging from the street lamp. As I look back at him to say something he leaned in and kissed me slowly and passionately so I, of course, kiss him back all the same.
"I love you April Snow" he smiled down at me
"I love you too Danny Adams" I smile back up at him. We walked around some more enjoying each others company in the night.
