We hop in the car and start driving to my family cabin, about thirty minutes in one of my favorite songs comes on the radio so I reach over and turn it up. I start sing loudly to it and swinging back and forth in my sit while holding my hand in a fist in front of my face, singing into it like a microphone. I hear Danny start laughing so I turn to him and start singing the chorus to him, he laughs and joins in. We sing our hearts out and are left out of breath after, I look over at him and smile while breathing heavily. I don't know what I would do without him, I love him so much. I reach back to the backseat and grab the bag of snacks, the rest of the time was spent singing, eating, laughing and talking about anything we wanted.
We finally pull into the drive way at 7:45pm and start bringing our bags inside, after we bring our bags full of clothes in the room and the one with food in to the kitchen to put away. I start putting away the food and Danny joins in to help before we make some dinner, after dinner we sit on the couch and watch some movies. I lay my head on his shoulder with my legs on his lap as he wraps his arm around me, laying his head on my head. I grab the thick fuzzy blanket and put it over us. I can feel the heat from the fire place that Danny lit earlier make its way over and heat us up, after all the movies we put out the fire in the fire place and make our way to the bedroom to go to bed. I wake up to the smell of French toast and make my way out to the kitchen, I see Danny dancing with head phone in as he cooks so I just stand there and watch. This goes on for another five minutes until he does a spin and sees me, he jumps and yells.
"Jesses Christ April" he puts a hand over his heart as he takes out his head phones, I burst out laughing.
"y-you should h-have seen your f-face" I say in between my laughs and I bend over holding my stomach, it hurting from the laughing. He rolls his eyes but I see him trying not to smile as he puts a plate with three pieces of French toast on it on the dinning room table with some maple syrup on it.
"For you my lady" I sit at the table
"Why thank you sir" I start eating as he sits beside me and also starts eating, after we're done I get up and wash the dishes.
"You want to go on a walk?" I asking walking up behind Danny and put my hands on his shoulders
"I'd love to" he replies and we get ready. After putting on our coats and shoes we leave and walk in the trail near the cabin, the snows falls around us as we walk farther. I run off the trail and into the trees of the snowy cold forest, hiding behind one of the thick tree trunks deep in the forest as my back presses against it. I hear Danny yelling not far behind me so I reach down and grab some snow, making it into a snow ball before I jump out from the tree and throw it at Danny. He stands there for a few seconds, stunned, before he grabs some snow and throws it at me. Luckily I doge it and run away laughing, the snow falls almost in slow motion around us as my hair blows in the wind, he chases after me as I feel a snow ball hit my shoulder. I squeal and run faster. I stop at an opening deeper in the forest as I grab more snow and throw it at him again, I hit him square in the chest before one hits my face. I look at Danny with my eyes wide, him looking back the same
"Oh your gonna pay for that!" I yell before I grab more snow and hit him back right in the face. I was laughing so hard at the face he made that I didn't notice him running at me, I go to run away but it's to late as he tackles me to the ground. We land in the fluffy snow with him laughing, he rolls off me and lays beside me. We lay looking up at the sky, breathing heavily as the snow dances in the wind. The big white pine trees like sky scrapers reaching for the sky above all around us in almost a circle, I turn my head to the side to look at Danny and my breath gets caught in my throat as he looks up at the sky. There is something about him that just makes my heart skip a beat, looking up at the sky he's like a Greek god.... so beautiful. The snow flakes reflecting in his deep brown eyes, his breath making clouds in the cold air as is leaves his soft lips, his brown hair wet and full of snow flakes and his cheeks a rosy pink against his pale skin from the cold wind.
"I love you Danny" he looks over at me and smiles, the smile that makes me fall more and more in love with him.
"I love you too April" he leans over and kisses me, a long passionate kiss that makes my stomach explode with butterflies. We lay in the snow for a bit longer until it gets to cold so we get up and head back to the cabin.
