What happened now?

I woke up in a hospital bed, apparently I was in and out of consciousness due to head trauma.

Sitting at the foot of my bed was my mom, quietly crying to herself.

"Mom? What happened?" I asked her. Her head shot up and she started sobbing.

"Izuku! My baby, you're ok!" she said.

"Yeah, I guess... why were you crying?"

"You fainted during the training camp, there was an attack so they had to end the session short... are you seeing alright? Have you forgotten anything major? How's your hearing? Your ears were bleeding."

"Mom I'm fine!" I chuckled. "Did the doctor say anything was wrong?"

"Oh well-."

"Izuku Midoriya?" a man asked. "Oh good, you're awake! I'm glad. All your brain scans came back as normal so you don't have to worry there."

"That's good," I said.

"The thing is," he set down a clip board, it showed scans of my arms. "You can't take pain like that to your arms again, and you won't be able to use them again. I suggest you be very careful."

I starred at the scans... I'd never be able to fight with my fists again, I mean, I would, I just wouldn't be able to do anything major.

"So... no more fighting like that?" I asked. The man nodded.

"Yes, I'd advice against it, unless you want to paralyze your arms, that is."

"At least he's ok, I mean... he does have more scars but at least nothing life threatening happened..," my mom sighed.

"What..?" I whispered. I looked down at my arms, there were scars from my elbow down, some much deeper than others. The one where I got shot was the most gruesome... That's right! Mustard shot me, I'd have to talk to him later about that, unless...

"Were the villains that attacked us arrested?" I asked.

"Three of them, we couldn't get them all. Muscular was arrested, you managed to weaken him enough for us to arrest him, good job, even if it was technically against the law," the man explained.

"Who else?"

"A man going by the name 'Moonfish' and a boy going by 'Mustard'."

"Oh, that's good..." Great, three members of our team were arrested, amazing.

"We interviewed them, they didn't give much useful information though. The one thing we had was that Mustard said he accidentally shot someone on his team once, but he didn't mention the time, and he wouldn't say how long he was working for the League of Villains, so we don't have any leads."

"Oh, at least he said something I suppose."

"Oh, there's one thing I need to mention, one of your classmates were captured." I had to hide my excitement, it was hard but I managed to do it.

"What?"

"His name is Katsuki Bakugo, we think he may be in the villains' hideout, but we aren't sure where that is."

"Bakugo was captured?! How?!" They did it, they really did it, that's amazing!

"We aren't sure, but we've been told someone named Mr. Compress was involved."

The doctor starred at my mom and said "I'm sorry ma'am, some of Midoriya's friends would like to enter, is that ok?"

"Yes, yes of course! I should probably get to making dinner soon anyways. Thank you," Mom bowed her head to the doctor. "I'll see you at home Izuku, love you!"

With that, mom stepped out of the room and most of my classmates entered.

"Hello Midoriya!" Iida said. "I'm glad you're awake, is everything alright?"

"We brought you a melon!" Mineta said.

"Yeah, everything's fine, how are you all?"

"We're doing well, the doctor said you can go home today since there was nothing super serious," Iida added.

Tokoyami starred at the ground, he looked upset over something.

"Do you wanna tell him, Tokoyami? If you wanna explain go ahead, we aren't pressuring you," Shouji said.

"Yes... yes I would..." Tokoyami muttered. I looked at him confused. "One of the villains got under my skin, and I lost control over Dark Shadow, he ended up destroying almost half of the forest and injured a few people, including Shoji..."

I looked at Shoji, who had bandages wrapped around one set of his arms and some around his torso.

"You were allowed out like that Shoji!?" I gasped.

"It's ok, the damage was minimal, I'm not in too bad of a condition, I only had some bruising. The doctors just put the bandages on to be safe, my arms on the other hand may be broken but I'll be fine," he explained.

"Thankfully Todoroki and Bakugo were not too far away and they were fighting one of the villains," Tokoyami continued. "They were able to help me get Dark Shadow under control but I still feel extremely guilty for losing control of my anger like that."

"At least no one was too badly injured,  that's the good thing," I said.

"I suppose so..."

"Oh yeah, Kota was injured pretty badly..." Tsu mentioned.

"Who?" I asked.

"Mandalay's little cousin, he ran into Muscular and gained serious head trauma, he also had several broken bones. Sero swept in in time to help him after hearing the poor boy screaming," Uruaka explained.

"That's messed up..."

"Yeah, the doctors said he may not be able to move some parts of his body, I can't imagine how terrible that kid feels," Sero said.

I sat in my bed, processing for awhile before a doctor came in and said, "Visiting time is over, finish up and say your goodbyes."

Everyone waved goodbye but Todoroki and Kirishima lagged behind.

"Hey, don't tell anyone but we're planning to rescue Bakugo tonight," Kirishima said.

"You're what?" I gasped.

"We feel guilty that we couldn't save him, so we're heading out tonight to get him," Todoroki explained. "Your quirk could really help us, would you like to come along?"

There's no way, if I came along it would be like I'm betraying the side I'm fighting for, I can only do so much good in order to be a villain and use the excuse that it's a cover.

"No, I won't," I said, firmly. My tone startled the two. "My arms are already super damaged and if I were to push them anymore, I won't be able to use them."

Todoroki looked at me, and then looked down at the floor. "Ok, I understand. We'll try to grab him ourselves. Thank you for answering."

"How will you two even know where he is?"

"Oh," Kirishima said, pulling out a device from his pocket. "Momo made a tracking device and stuck it to a Nomu. It's to help the heros find the base, she made a spare for us, although it took a bit of convincing."

"Interesting." I starred at the device, my eyes must've seemed cold because with that Kirishima said an awkward goodbye and left, and Todoroki just left silently.
