He woke me up the next morning, we showered and he carefully washed the scar on my tummy before bandaging it again. Then we got dressed and went down for breakfast, which he cooked.
'You ready to go back to school?' I groaned out, apparently there had been a lot of talk about me being sick. Zach told me that John had told him that Mai had heard from Jay who heard from Jessica that her uncle who happened to be Officer J saw me vomiting blood all over the place. Tyler said there were a lot of rumours flying around. My favourite; I was a drug mule for the football team but my package burst and the drugs nearly killed me.
'I don't wanna go, they're going to be annoying.'
'I know, but all we gotta do is get through today and then we'll be okay.' I sighed, he's become such the optimist since everything happened. I smiled and leant up kissing him before he helped me out to the car and we headed to school.
'People are staring.' I muttered as he helped me to my locker, I could walk fine, it was just an excuse to hold his hand in public. Hehe sneaky hey? But as we got to my locker the bombardment started.
'OMG are you okay? There's been so much stuff going around, I just want to know if you're okay?' Amanda asked and I looked at her.
'I'm all good.' I walked with Harry slowly to the principal's office, as she wanted to see me.
The day went by agonizingly slowly and I got the sweats at one point in the middle of history but I managed. It finally came to lunchtime and I could see Harry again. He sat down next to me with a lunch tray full of food for me.
'You know my appatite isn't completely back right?' I laughed looking at the food.
'I know.' He mumbled with food already in his mouth. 'But I want to see you eat at least three things off that try.'
'Dude, you're such a mother hen.' The guys laughed as they all sat around and I smiled.
'We've got training this afternoon, extra before the big game against Johnston Prep. You guys are coming right?' I rubbed my forehead and Harry sat forward looking at me.
'You okay?' I nodded putting my hand on his arm.
'I forgot to tell the coach, we need to go and talk to him.' He nodded and helped me up.
'Well be at the training, we gotta go talk to the coach.' I said as we walked slowly out and down to his office. 'I completely forgot about football.'
'I know, I was hoping you would, I don't want to play without you.'
'Babe, you're gonna have to get used to it. I won't be able to play football for a while now.' He hummed out before we stopped outside coaches office and Harry knocked on the door, a minute passed and he called us in.
'I'll talk to you later about you PE grade, please try harder I don't want to have to call your parents Mia.' She nodded and ducked her head on the way out until she noticed it was us.
'Hey, are you okay? I heard you were in the hospital for a little while.'
'Yep. All good.' I smiled and she squeezed my arm, I wanted to say ew but that's rude... She closed the door on her way out.
'I'm glad to hear you're all good!' Coach smiled and I scratched the back of my neck.
'Well, I'm better, but I won't be able to finish out the year on the team.' He looked at me a little shocked.
'I don't understand?'
'I have cancer, or had. Lower intestinal cancer, I have to go through radiation treatment so I can't play football anymore.' The coach nodded and looked at me sadly.
