{Tords POV }

We followed the beast- monster- the thing with the horns around for a bit. We passed several rooms and I was tempted to just hide in one. I was starting to second guess my decision when I didn't recognize our surroundings. We'd been walking for about half an hour and I didn't want to stick around and see how much longer we'd keep going.

I slowed down and Liam did as well. The monster thing only went a few feet ahead when it stopped harshly and looked back at us. It tilted its head and sat down.

I sighed. I was really going into talk to it.

"Look, I know you're taking us somewhere, but somewhere is clearly not outside!" I was getting a little ticked off because I just wanted to see Tom and possibly eat breakfast. "Now. Do you know, how to get outside?"

It nodded its head but nudged it in the direction we were heading.

I inhaled sharply and closed my eyes.

"I'm not going that way. I want to go out-"

I was rudely interrupted by it growling and when I opened my eyes it was right in Fremont of me. I kept my composer and only sighed.

"I'm still not following you."

It looked at me before closing its eye. I didn't know what to expect but it simply turned away and ran. Was it really that easy?

I turned to Liam. "Alright, let's go find our way out."

We did a bit of walking when I barley thought about calling Pat from my arm. I rung him up and he answered almost immediately.

"Sir! Where are you two I've been looking for the two of you for at least an hour!" He whispered harshly. I'm guessing he was in a crowed area due to the noises in the back.

"Apologies Pat but Liam and I run into a bit of trouble. Don't worry we're looking for the outside-"

"Outside? I'm no longer there! In fact all the soldiers were moved inside to catch whatever was loose! Be careful!"

I chuckled. "About that, see we kind of-"

Screaming at Pats end of the call cut me off.

"ITS HEADING FOR US!"

"EVERYONE RUN!"

"SHOOT IT!"

"ITS AL- SIR ITS HEREB AHHHHH-"

And like that the call cut off with the sound of guns being fired and Pat screaming. A moment after red lights flashed throughout the place and an alarm sounded.

I was frozen with shock. Did... did I just hear Pat, die?

The sound of soldiers running rang with the alarm. We had to go, but I couldn't move.

"Sir! We have to go!"

I didn't reply.

I could see the panic in Liams eyes. He heard what had happened in the line, but he was still able to move. How?

He glanced over his shoulder and grabbed my normal arm. He pulled me into one of the rooms and shut the door.

"O-once the sol-soldiers pass, we c-can um-... join them! Act like we were there the whole time!"

I slightly nodded. He started rambling about a new plan but no matter how hard I tried to focus on what he was saying, I couldn't hear any of it. My mind was clouded with images of Pat and Tom. What if Tom was already taken out by, by that BEAST!?

I was pulled out of my thoughts when Liam grabbed my arm again and pulled me out of the room. We were at the end of a guard of sour inning in the direction that we were originally heading with the beast.

Joining them, we soon made it to what I assume was the cafeteria, and it was quite a sight.

Bodies left and right. Blood smeared all over the floor. Soldiers aiming their guns at the corner of the room, but not shooting? Liam and I shoved our way to the front to see what was going on, and when I reached the front, I saw Pat being held by the creature with its tail.

He was alright. He was alright! The creature WAS taking us to him! I small smile escaped to my lips and the creature held its head up high, like he was proud or saying in his own way that he was right.

I leaned over to Liam and whispered. "Use your smoke bombs."

He nodded. And without the other soldiers seeing, we set them off and the creature let out a loud growl, scaring away a few of the soldiers. When there was enough smoke, Liam and I ran to Pat who still seemed terrified. The creature let him down and he was confused and shocked at the same time.

"What just?-"

"No time!" I interrupted. "We have to find a way out!"

Almost as soon as the words left my mouth, the creature turned and smashed a window behind him. Without a second thought I shoved Pat and Liam to the window. They got out quick and helped me out.

We began running to where we had originally entered from, but I stoped a few inches away from the window and looked at the creature. I couldn't leave him here! They'd kill him for sure! I looked around but couldn't think of anything.

I locked eyes with him and I could see the fear, but peaceful look in his eye. As if he accepted his fate. The sound of more soldiers showing up pressured me.

"Where is it?!"

"Is it still here?"

"Find it!"

I was about to reach out to the creature when I heard yelling being me.

"Sir! What are you doing?! Come on!"

I looked back. I assume Liam started the car as Pat came back for me. I glance at both him and the creature back and fourth. But I could bring myself to leave.

The creature laid down, but still looked at me. I couldn't leave him. I don't know why but I couldn't! The look in its eyes,.. no! He can accept this all he wants but I sure as hell WONT.

I took a finally glance around and found a crate of explosives. With not hesitation I reached inside it and grabbed what I could. I could hear Pat trying to stop me but I ignored him. I looked for a light, a single stick of dynamite should be enough to get him out of there.

When I found a lighter, and ran over and kneeled down to the window. The creatures eye widened and it swung its pawl at me, trying to keep me away from him. I didn't care. I was getting him out of there no matter what.

Right when I was about to the the stick of dynamite, and hand snatched it from me.

"what the!-"

"Sir we have to go NOW! It's not the time to be playing hero with a MONSTER!"

I shock my head. "We are going him out of here, got it! He he doesn't return to the base then neither will I!"

Pat took a step back and shock his head. "Sir we came here to TOM! Not a MONSTER! Besides who's to say that they didn't use Tom as MONSTER CHOW?!"

I froze. Pat did too. He knew he had hit a nerve.

I looked at the dynamite in my hand. Without looking up, I held my hand out to him, and he placed the lighted in my palm.

I turned to the creature. "You might want to back up a little."

I lit the stick of dynamite and smiled.

"Looks like you're getting out of here."
