Chapter Two

Willow had left class early due to having done everything already and doing so proficiently. Now she had about 1 hour until her next class, so her first thought was, check-in on the specialists. So there she was, walking on the pathway passing specialists sparring or working out with the punching bags. Finally, she saw a blonde and brunette sparring with two men watching one was clearly Silva and the other, well she was assuming that was Sky's father. She had never met the man but he seemed to be nice from what she heard.

"Hey Willow! What are you doing here?" Riven greeted Willow, they decided to take a break and the greeting led Sky and the two older men to look at her.

"Oh. I got to leave class early so I thought I would check out what everyone has been hyping up about specialists. Doesn't seem fun but it doesn't seem boring." Willow responded and Sky chuckled, taking a drink from his water.

"Wow, thanks so much," he said and Willow laughed.

"I'm sorry. I just don't like to fight." Willow said and Riven looked at her incredulously.

"You tried to strangle me with vines last year!" he exclaimed and Willow snorted.

"You were bullying Terra! And me! You were bullying both of us! I had every right! Not to mention, I wasn't planning on killing you. I just wanted to give you a, let's call it a warning." Willow stated and Sky tried to hold back his laugh and failing.

"I don't believe I've ever met you." the man who was clearly Sky's father said and Willow smiled at him.

"Oh! I'm Willow." she responds and the man smiles at her.

"I'm Andreas. Sky's father." Andreas said, putting his hand out for a handshake and Willow smiled, shaking his hand.

"I figured. I knew that you came back to the school but I had never met you." Willow responds and Sky can't help but have a fond smile on his face as he watched her converse with his father.

"Dude. You are actually in love with her. Ask her out." Riven whispers and Sky looks at him.

"She doesn't like me back so no," he responds, and Riven groans.

"You two are helpless." Riven mumbles and Sky elbows him.

"I should get going. Don't want to be late for my class. It was nice talking to you guys!" Willow exclaims as she walks away and when she's gone, Silva clears his throat.

"So, Sky, what's going on between you and Willow?" he asks and Sky chokes on his water.

"Nothing. Nothing is going on between us." Sky replies and Riven snorts.

"Son, that girl is madly in love with you and you are clearly madly in love with her. I know the looks." Andreas says and Sky groans throwing his head back.

"Sky! Just admit it, buddy! You two look at each other as if you are the other person's world!" Riven exclaims and Silva, along with Andreas, nods in agreement.

"No! I'm not risking our friendship. I don't want to lose her." Sky trails off and the other men sigh.

"Dude. You won't. Stop thinking about the past." Riven states, knowing that the last part comes from that night.

"What's wrong?" Andreas and Silva ask and Sky sighs.

"Last year. When the burned ones attacked Sam, they got her too. Her stomach was torn, her back was torn, her arms were cut. She was coughing up blood. A combination of red and black from the infection and I thought I was going to lose her. She was covered in blood and there was nothing we could do other than hope Bloom would kill the one that did that to her. She was damn near gone when she finally got better." Sky said, trying not to cry at the prospect of losing the girl who really was his whole world.

"Oh my. She's better now though Sky. The burned ones are officially dead. All of them." Silva states and Sky nods with a sigh.

"I know. I just don't want to lose her in any way." Sky mumbles and with a sigh, the other three men leave it alone.
