Based off of the episode where Will dies. First season after Nimhue's introduction. I think it might be the one after Excalibur, but idk. I was gonna make it so that Will and Merlin were lovers and after a fight (probably about how Merlin's too reckless), Will tells the town about Merlin's magic, and that's why he left for Camelot (after getting heavily injured, of course, cuz a n g s t). Then when he comes back, they make up and on Will's deathbed, they kiss, and Merlin offers to help him using magic, but Will doesn't want him getting hurt. Arthur thinks that Merlin being gay was the thing that Merlin was keeping from him, but in the ✨thralls of grief✨, Merlin confesses to everything. He's not allowed in Camelot but has nowhere else to go, so he stays with Hunith, but with the Prince gone, the town goes back to beating him up. Arthur's gotta find out some way, but I'm not sure about that bit yet. Maybe Arthur just misses him, or he reluctantly has to accompany the knights on a quest of some sort.
