I was chillin in the cafeteria with my homegirls Alyasja, Diamond, and Brazil. It was breakfast time and it was too cold outside so we were hanging in the cafeteria. A group of boys came over and sat with us. There were 5 of them.
"Hey ladies" The one with the durag said
"What do y'all want?" Alaysja spoke.
"We just thought y'all was cute so we wanted to talk to y'all" he says. We all looked at each other.
"What's y'all names?" Another one asked
"I'm Alaysja, that's Brazil, that's Diamond, and this is Y/n" Alaysja introduced
"Both of y'all names are ghetto as fuck 'Jaquavion' 'D'eondre'" Diamond said
"Stop being mean" I laughed
" Damn" Jaquavion chuckled
"I mean she's not wrong 'Jaquavion' is fucking ghetto and 'D'eondre' sounds like a fuckin gang member that drugs old people" Alaysja agreed
"They're both right" Brazil agreed too
"You guys are mean we just met them" I said
"It's all good. I like my girls mean" D'eondre licked his lips at Diamond.
"Your name is kinda weird too. 'Stokeley'" She said his name weird
"I'm so sorry their being mean" I apologized
"It's straight" Stokeley laughed. I looked at Jahseh and he was silently laughing.
"Why are you laughing?" I laughed
"Cuz you funny" He laughed
"What did I do?" He questioned
"You deadass offended FOR them. It's not even about you" He chuckled. I laughed.
"It's just cuz y'all are niggas" Alaysja said
"Don't let her fool you" Diamond laughed
"She's mean as fuck she get comfortable witchu" Brazil said. I laughed
"Oh yeah" Jahseh smiled at me
"You're smile is adorable" I said in a baby voice as I cupped his chin. His cheeks went a hint of pink as he chuckled. His laugh was cute too.
"You're cute" He complimented
"I know. Look at me" I said putting my hand under my chin as if I were a prize.
"Oh shit" he hyped me up
"I'm playin" I laughed
"No you wasn't. You know you cute" he denied
"Stop" I said getting shy
"Y/n" I heard someone say my name. I looked in the direction where I heard it from and seen Dexter, a good friend of mine.

If I'm being honest I do have a little thing for him but he's gay so he's not attracted to girls which sucks. I got up and went over to him and hugged him.
"Hey Dex" I said
"Hey Y/n" He greeted. We pulled away.
"Why weren't you answering your phone this morning?" He questioned
"You called me?" I asked
"Yeah I called you like 5 times to see if you needed a ride here" he says
"I don't think it came through cuz I didn't get any calls this morning" I said
"I'm sorry" I apologized
"It's okay" He assured me
"But we don't have dance today so are you free after school?" He says seriously
"Well I have to go to therapy at 4:30" I revealed
"Oh shit. I forgot about that......okay" he says
"Are you okay?" I questioned
"Yeah. I just wanted to talk to you about something" he says
"I don't wanna talk about it here" he says. I could tell something was on his mind.
"Here at school or here in the cafeteria?" I asked
"In the cafeteria" He answered.
"Okay. You wanna go in the hall and talk about it?" I questioned. He nodded his head.
"Alright. Let's go" I said
"I'll be right back" I told Alaysja and them. Jahseh grabbed by wrist.
"Who is that?" He questioned
"My friend. I gotta go" I responded. I walked out the cafeteria and went in the hallway where Dexter was.
"What's wrong?" I questioned
"I gotta ask you something and I need you to be 100% honest with me" he sighed
"Okay" I agreed getting a little anxious
"Do you like me?" He questioned. My heart dropped.
"Honestly......I do Dex" I admitted
"It's okay bubba I was just wondering cuz I've just been thinking about it. Your feelings will go away soon and you'll hopefully find someone you're happy with. You're very beautiful though" He says. I nodded my head.
"It's not gonna be awkward between us either. I promise" He promised
"Okay" I said
"Alright I love you though" he says
" I love you too" I returned. I hugged him and we did our handshake and parted our ways. I went back to the cafeteria. I sat back in my seat which was next to Alaysja.
"Did you tell Dex that I like him?" I whispered
"No. Why would I do that?" She whispered back
"I don't know cuz he asked me if I like him" I said
"Did you tell him the truth?" she says. I nodded my head.
"What did he say?" She questioned
"He said it's okay and my feelings were gonna go away soon and I'm gonna find someone that I'm happy with" I said
"Well that's good" she says
"Yeah and he said things aren't gonna be awkward between us" I said
"That's good" she repeated.
"I think your feelings are gonna go away pretty fast cuz they're not strong" she says. I agreed with her. The bell rang so we all went to class.
