Percy struggled against his bindings, though the Son of Poseidon knew better then to rip himself out of his cloaked villain's grip. As soon as the villain "let him go," he would plummet to his doom.
Percy was dangling over the River Lethe.
"Please!" Percy shouted, begging being his only source of survival. "Please, you don't have to do this! Just let me go! It's not too late!"
"Isn't it?" The villain chuckled. The raging, milky white river made the villain's voice indistinguishable. Who was the soul that dared go against Perseus Jackson, let alone actually succeed at capturing him. "You're only getting what's coming for you, Sea Scum. This is inevitable."
"Plus," The voice laughed, "So much worse could be done to you. You should be thanking me, Sea Scum."
"Never," Percy sneered.
Big mistake.
"Have a nice swim."
The villain let their grip around Percy's neck loose, but he was far from safe. Percy let out a final scream, before crashing into the white waters and being swept away.
The memory loss inducing waters.
Percy Jackson was doomed.

Annabeth gasped, jolting up and waking from her dream with a start. Her eyes darted around frantically to see she was safe, tucked into the sheets of her bunk in her mother's cabin. No one could hurt her.
But could she say the same for Percy?
It was just a dream, Annabeth told herself, trying to steady her heavy breathing and wiping the sweat off her brows. A demigod dream, a small voice reminded her in the back of her head.
It couldn't be true though. Annabeth had seen Percy only ten hours ago that very night. He couldn't have gone anywhere, couldn't have been captured, couldn't have been sent to his inevitable doom.
He was Percy Jackson and that was just a dream.
Nevertheless, the thoughts couldn't shake themselves from the demigod's mind, and the Daughter of Athena knew she would never be able to fall back asleep. With a sigh, Annabeth found an alarm clock, checking the time to see it was 5:42 in the morning. Not too bad. It was still pitch black outside though.
Annabeth crawled out of her bunk, careful to be silent as she slipped on a pair of clothes and slides, then left the Athena cabin, quietly shutting the cabin door behind her.
Annabeth leaned against the walls of the cabin, soaking in the fresh air and inhaling deeply. It felt amazing, like she was no longer suffocating.
She began to walk, her feet unconsciously leading her to the beach.
Her and Percy's spot.
Annabeth looked across the dark horizon, listening to the calm down of the lapping waves, though she still had that tight feeling in her chest. Something was wrong. With Percy. She knew it.
A part of her was tempted to burst into Percy's cabin to see if he was there, but, one, that would be admittedly creepy, and two, Annabeth could wake Percy up if he actually was peacefully asleep. She would just have to wait it out. She had no choice.
She sat there for who knows how long, when she suddenly noticed some sort of... thing floating in the water near the shore. Annabeth squinted, studying it. At first glance, it seemed like a normal log that could have been washed into the ocean, but the longer she stared, the more that seemed unlikely.
That's when she noticed the thing seemed almost... human.
Oh gods.
Annabeth's eyes widened. She rushed over to the not-so-seemingly log, jumping into the water and not minding the freezingness of it. She had to see what it was, though a small feeling in the pit of her stomach already knew.
Sure enough, as the waters were about chest high and Annabeth reached the floating thing, her suspicions were immediately confirmed. It was a human.
But not just any human.
It was Percy Jackson.
Annabeth recognized his black hair and lean body almost immediately, letting out a choked sob sort of sound. He was faced into the water, and Annabeth knew that if he wasn't a son of Poseidon he would surely be dead. Who knew if he was even alive right now...
Annabeth's eyebrows furrowed as she rolled Percy over in the water to be facing up in the sky. Even in the dark, she could make out Percy's still, unmoving face.
Too still.
Panic overtaking the girl, she quickly began to tug Percy back to the safety of the sand, letting him lay down on it as she felt his pulse.
He was... alive.
Thank the gods.
But he could still be in a critical or fatal condition. Who knew how long he was out there, or how he ended in the ocean in the first place.
Or if the dream was real or not...
No! She couldn't let the negative thoughts take over! Never! Especially now with the condition Percy was in. He needed her help, and she was going to give it to him.
"Oh my gods, Percy," Annabeth murmured, her eyes watering, "Stay... stay with me, Seaweed Brain. I love you so freaking much, it hurts. Just... stay here. Don't go anywhere. I need to get Chiron."
Finishing on her panicked rant, Annabeth rushed off towards the Big House, not caring if Chiron was awake or not. All that mattered right now was Percy.
-
The sun had now risen and Annabeth and Chiron had found an empty cot for the son of the sea to rest in in the infirmary. Chiron had curlers in his tail and a green facial mask on when she found him (so the rumors were true), but as soon as she explained to the groggy Chiron, he rushed off with her.
They brought Percy to the infirmary and a child of Apollo had checked his condition. Surprisingly enough, the medic said he was in tip-top shape and was completely fine, and would just most likely have a killer headache when he woke up.
He still hadn't woken up.
So now there Chiron and Annabeth were, intently watching over Percy and waiting for a sign of life, that he was awake. Annabeth had a towel wrapped around her still wet body, refusing to peel her eyes off Percy, even for a second. She did not want to miss a single thing. She just wanted her Seaweed Brain back.
"Annabeth-" Chiron started to say after hours of watching, but the centaur was cut off with a curt groan coming from Percy as he shifted his position in the cot. A small gasp came from Annabeth's lips as she quickly stood up. Percy was waking up.
Suddenly his eyes shot open. He blinked a little before sitting up, taking in his surroundings with a blank expression on his face. At least he seemed like his normal self, like the regular Seaweed Brain everyone knew and loved.
"Percy!" Annabeth said happily, relief washing over her as she wrapped Percy in a tight hug. "Oh my gods, you're okay." Annabeth held him in the loving hug for a few more moments, but began to grow concerned when he didn't return the embrace.
"Percy?" She said quietly, the worry returning as she took a step away from her boyfriend, staring at him with wide eyes. When he didn't respond, Annabeth repeated it again. "Percy?"
Percy squinted, staring at Annabeth and Chiron in complete and utter confusion. Annabeth took a shaky deep breath, waiting for his answer, and finally, he gave it.
"Who's Percy?"
