Mirae hugged her legs whilst staring out into the sun. It wasn't long before she was ready to be discharged. Maybe then she could see Kevin and what he was up to. She sighed and slowly unfolded.
The door slid open, revealing her father. Mirae looked toward the door with glowing eyes until she saw her father. Her eyes went dull again. "Hi dad." She mumbled.
Her father slightly smiled. "Were you expecting someone else?"
"Maybe a cat, a dog, or Kevin." Mirae responded.
Her father left out a hefty breath, "I'm sorry Mirae that I wasn't a cat, a dog, nor your lover."
"You're forgiven," she jokingly responded. A small smiled formed on her face. "What brought you here?"
"Well," Her father settled down, "The doctor told me you'll be discharged in 3 days. Isn't that good?"
Mirae's eyes lit up, "Really?!" Her father nodded and Mirae felt a sense of excitement. It was soon that she was going to be around Kevin again and support him.
"Make sure you take your medication though, nobody wants you all sick and gross." Her father laughed.
Mirae chuckled, "Kevin would still want me."
Her father leaned in and jokingly whispered, "Nobody wants a sick little girl." Mirae pouted and lightly slapped her father.
