Tsurugi was silent after hearing what Sakura said. Kiritsugu Emiya, his adoptive father, was the person who saved her by rushing her to the hospital. Seeing his confused expression, Sakura decided to explain.
"You see....my family was once a powerful family in the world of sorcerery. Yet one day, there was a decline in the family and not that many people were born with a lot of cursed energy. That's when they decided to take a different approach."

"They began to do research with human experiments. The Matou family did two things. They either force you to eat a cursed object or have a cursed spirit sealed inside of your body and force a contract between the two. Even now, whatever cursed spirit they used dwells within me. Shortly afterwards.....a man in a black suit with black hair infiltrated the manor as he was on a mission to destroy their research. Soon he took me away from my home and I was treated in a hospital. That's when I learned his name."
As Sakura looked at Tsurugi, she saw a surprised look on his face. Though, this was to be expected. Soon Tsurugi hugged Sakura close to him, much to her surprise.

"No, that was all in the past. But, I am glad that you care so much for me."
"That's right. Just as Sakura barely knows things about me, I barely knew a thing about her. Yet I selfishly fight for her sake without her even knowing about it. I'm the worst...."
As Sakura smiled, she reached into her pocket. She hands the item to Tsurugi. When he looked at it, he saw that it was a card that had the image of a person holding a bow.

"Kiritsugu told me to give it to you when I felt it was time. But the longer I held onto it, the more guilty I felt. I was holding on to a gift meant for you from your father. And ye-"
