Chapter 106 Lesson One

"I have to ask, were you really going to kill me, Izou-san?"

Izou and Tsurugi were now roaming the streets after their fight. Since Musashi and himself were separated for the time being, Tsurugi found that following Izou would be in his best interest. The fact Ryouma trusted this man played a big part in his cooperation.

"I would if you were anything like the higher-ups tried to say you were. Besides, I needed to see it for myself. The potential that Ryouma believed you had. Plus, after gauging your strength, I think you might be a useful help considering what I have to do."

"What is it?"

"You know about the two players with over 100 points, right?"

"Kashimo Hajime and Higuruma Hiromi, correct?"

"Obviously those two can be seen as a threat due to how many points they collected, however, i'm going after different targets. If we don't stop those three, they'll be just a big a threat as them. They're gathering points at an alarming rate."

As Tsurugi nods his head in agreement, Kogane appeared before him and Izou. As the two looked at the creature, Tsurugi asked for the list of players that have under 100 points. When he saw the names displayed, his eyes widen in horror. As Izou saw the expression on Tsurugi's face, he decided to ask.

"Sakura Matou? Do you know her?"

"Yeah, but this is impossible. Remember that curse, for lack of better words, that you saw in our fight. That's Sakura Matou, a girl I loved who died during the Shibuya Incident. For some reason, she's bound to me but she seems more corrupted. Do you see the issue?"

"If Sakura Matou is bound to you due to being cursed, she's essential just an extension of yourself in a way. If that's the case.....who is this Sakura Matou with 78 points in the Culling Game?"

"A doll. A doll made by Angelica Ainsworth. I'm certain about it now."

As Izou listened to this, he began to think to himself. He felt like his head was going to explode from what he learned. A black haired swordsman with a cursed woman bound to them, if he had a 100 yen for everytime he's heard of someone like that, he'd have at least three. Which isn't that much, but he finds it weird it happened three times.

"First Ryouma, then that Okkotsu kid, and now this guy. I swear, they're so similar yet different. However, they share another thing in common. When the going gets tough, you can count on them."

"Izou-san, I have to ask. Who are the other people that we have to look out for?"

"Oddly enough, you mentioned one of them. Angelica Ainsworth currently has 90 points. As for the other one....heh. Actually, I plan on using him for your lesson."

"My lesson?"

"Yes. We'll use the man by the name of Kojiro to help you with your shitty grasp at handling cursed energy."

~Meanwhile~
"Tsurugi, are ya close by?"

Musashi was seen walking around a city as she screamed out for Tsurugi. Truth be told, while Tsurugi had a way to signal his location....Musashi couldn't think of one. As a sigh escaped from her lips, she began to look around.

"I can't believe i'm actually separated. Fighting with a cute gu-....i mean, a sorcerer with potential like Tsurugi would've been amazing. Especially since he has the potential to be a Special Grade Sorcerer, though he's lacking in some areas."

As Musashi was wandering around, she sensed some cursed energy heading for her at high speed. Soon she began to run as she felt the source of the cursed energy getting closer and closer to her. However, she couldn't hide the smile on her face.
