Guess I'm just updating everything then.
The room goes silent. "You ought to treat your betters with more respect." Yakeru seethes.
Shouto raises an eyebrow but doesn't say anything more.
"Silence." Fugaku demands. "Despite what you think, Itsuki will be an asset to our clan."
"Oh?" Yakeru mocks. "What could this child" he speaks like the word personally offends him, "possibly do for us?"
"He has the gifts of 2 clans within him." Fugaku tells them calmly.
"2 Kekkei Genkais?" A woman asks incredulously.
"Impossible!" Yakeru growls. "He's full of lies!"
"Perhaps," Fugaku says, quieting the room once more, "a demonstration is in order."
Shouto feels the watchful gazes of the Clan Elders fall to him. He inhales and draws energy from within, expelling fire from one palm and ice from the other.
"I believe that is proof enough, no?" Kasai smiles serenely.
No one says much more in disagreement.

It's decided that Shouto is to live in the main house with Fugaku and his family. He's to be trained alongside the Clan children.
A woman, who Shouto assumes is Fugaku's wife, greets them at the door.
"Oh good, you're early." She presses a quick kiss to Fugaku's cheek, "You can join us for dinner," before she disappears into the house.
"Welcome home, otou-san." A boy slightly older than Shouto says. He has long hair and almost reminds Shouto of Aizawa sensei.
"Tou-san!" A boy who must be younger than Shouto yells. He has bright eyes and a childish smile on his face.
"Itachi, Sasuke." Fugaku gives, who Shouto thinks is Sasuke, a pat on the head. "Sasuke, take Itsuki to the dinner table."
"Okay!" Sasuke nods. He grabs Shouto's hand and brings him to the dining table. Shouto figures that Fugaku is going to talk to Itachi about the new arrangements. Shouto doesn't mind, it's easier than having to explain things himself.
He listens as Sasuke rambles about his day at the "Academy" and the people there.
"Are you gonna be in the Academy too?" Sasuke asks.
"Yes, he is." Fugaku answers before Shouto can.
"Cool! But why're you staying here with us?" Sasuke wonders.
"I'm from Kirigakure." Shouto answers easily.
"Is it different there?" Sasuke is practically vibrating in his seat.
Shouto contemplates his answer. "Very. I think I like it here more." He says honestly. He thinks he'd like anywhere better than Kirigakure but Sasuke doesn't need to know that.
"Why? Don't you have any family there?"
"I suppose my family is here now." Shouto replies, partially evading the question.
"You're an Uchiha?" Sasuke looks to his father for confirmation and when the man nods, he goes off into another string of questions. "Do you have the Sharingan? How did you end up so far away? How'd you find your way here? Are you gonna be living with us now?"
"Sasuke." Itachi and Fugaku's wife chide.
"Sorry." Sasuke pouts. Sasuke reminds Shouto of Eri, just a little bit. Though that could also be because Eri is the only child he knows well enough to compare.
