Don't Tell Me What To Do

I look around frantically counting the patrol, '1, 2, 3, 4! Four patrol are out here looking for him. Probably followed his sent.' I sigh and shake my head.

Luka's Pov

I flatten my ears to my head and tuck my tail as close to my body a possible making myself as small as I can. Putting as little weight as possible on my paw so I don't make a noise.

I hold my breath as I peek around the rock to see Lilly arguing with 4 of the patrol I recognize 2 of them as Barkus my dad and my mom Snow who is almost all white she looks very scared I bet my little sisters Bluebell and Honey are probably worried sick.

I stare at Lilly watching as she keeps a strong stance at my dad who looks furious. I watch the red wolf in awe at how brave she is being "Don't tell me what to do!" She growls at them and just as my dad launches himself over the river another wolf grabs his tail and pulls him back.

As he lands on the ground my mom puts her two front paws on his back keeping him down. "I-im sorry about him." She softly says "what he meant to say was have you seen a black pup he has a white paw." She says sadly and "were terribly worried about him, could've gotten himself carried off by an eagle." She says.

I start to feel guilty then Lilly burst out laughing "im pfftt I'm sorry, just give... give me a sec" she stutters out while falling over laughing.

I roll my eyes and feel a heat creap up my face. "Ok alright ummm you know I think I may have seen him around." She says recovering from the burst. "Really! Did you see where he went?" My mom asks excitedly "well..." Lilly trails off "he kinda jumped in the river to save one of the pups in my pack." She continues i can't believe she's selling me out "and well he cut his paw on a rock so we treated his paw so it didn't get infected." She says so they don't get mad.

My dad struggles angrily to get up and my mom walks over and lays on him to keep him from attacking. "Well can you find him for us his sisters were crying when we left to look for him" I gasp and start to feel really bad

"actually I was personally escorting him back to his territory." She says blankly my mom gives a look to the other two wolves and they lay down on my dad. My mom then gets up and walks closer to the river. "Luka!" Lilly calls out and I get up from behind the rock I limp over to her, my paw still hurting a bit. My mother gasps when she sees me.

I lean against Lilly "Luka!" My mom says excitedly "mom..." I say
un-enthusiastically "thats your mom?" Lilly questions as my mom jumps over the river to greet me "mom are Bluebell and Honey okay?" I ask worried and Lilly looks at me confused "their fine just scared that you were gone." She says nuzzling me

"get off me!" My dad screams and my mom starts scolding him "so an eagle huh?" Lilly teases and I feel a blush creep across my face again "sh-shut up!" I say embarrassed "m-mom we sh-should get going now." I say trying to avoid the conversation. "Alright you owe your sisters an apology, I see a lot of bed time stories and mud cakes in your future." She says "pffft" Lilly starts laughing again.

Lilly's Pov

I can't stop laughing. Especially when I see faint pink on Luka's face when I mentioned the eagle and his quick response trying to get away, and the mud cakes and bedtime stories I just couldn't keep my composure. He glares at me and rolls his eyes I start to control my laughter. "Alright you better be off now." I say allowing Luka to leave they nodded to me and leaped across the river as we went our separate ways.
