The next day at school, we have an assembly for the last class of the day. Jungkook and I are talking to each other as we walk down the hall to the auditorium. "Ugh, I don't see why we have to attend an assembly right now" i whine, "It's almost time to go home"
"THe teacher sid the principal wanted to have a few words with the students to congratulate them on a successful first week" jungkook explains
"Couldn't he just congratulate us by letting us go home early?" i ask
"Meh, that would be too easy obviously" he jokes and we laugh. "So, you never did tell me why you weren't in gym class" he asks at my sudden disappearance, "did something happen?"
"I-I U-Um Got really sick... suddenly" i lie
"Are you sure?" he asks
"O-Of course i am sure!" i defend, "W-Why would i lie about that?"
"You know you don't have to be so angry" but then he gasps, "OOOOHHHHH, I get it... S-Sorry, thats girls' stuff... My bad" he looks down embarrassed
"What?" i ask, then my brain catches up, "No, not- Jungkook, ughhhhh" i sigh, "Just forget it"
"Well, look, whatever happened; just let me know if i can help next time, ok?" he smiles
"Sure!" i nod, "Thanks Jungkook"
"Oh! Umm... That reminds me. D-Do you- Do you mind if i gave you my phone number?" he asks
"Oh! Umm, Sure!" i smile
"Since it's the weekend and if you want to talk about anything, well, you could text me" he explains nervously, "or something, call me, i don't know" he hands me a piece of paper with his number in it,
"Thanks" and we continue to walk to the gymnasium. I take a seat beside Jungkook. Everyone is talking to the person beside them causing a chatter in the room. All of the teachers are up sitting on chairs on the back of the stage. Just as Jungkook and I sit down a teacher walks up to the podium; clears his throat and starts speaking
"Testing, one two three, one two-" he says testing the microphone but he gets cut off by the principal running into the room sprinting up onto the stage and pushing the teacher speaking out of the way
"Helloooooooooo students" he says enthusiastically, "and congratulations on completing your first week. Truly, a remarkable feet" the principal says as the teacher he pushed walks back to his seat. 'I don't think he knows what he is talking about?' "I have no doubt that all of you have been hard at work at climating yourselves to the year ahead. So many new things to learn; Which reminds me Miss Jangmi has informed me that all potions brewers in the alchemy class are not to be taken from class. Correct, Miss Jangmi?" he asks, getting ridiculously close to her, she nods and he walks back to the microphone, "Ah, a fine start to an exciting new year! Now then that ought to cover my quota for principally things for the day. I'm off to make a new scientific discovery" he says as he runs out of the gym just as fast as it took him to run into it. "Good day children". After that "speech" all students were let out for the day so i walk out with Jungkook and stand in front of the school talking to him waiting for my mom to come and pick me up.
"Well, that speech was... Yeah" jungkook says, "uh anyway, you walk home, right?" he asks, "My dad's going to pick me up today, so if you wanted a ride home, im sure he could give you a life"
"No thanks, my mom's coming to pick me up today." i respond
"Ah, I see. W-Well you have my number so, text me if you want, ok?"
"I will, and same to you" I smile softly, "Text me whenever you want!" then my mom pulls up honking the horn twice loudly and starts to yell from the car
