  "Denki wait up!" You called as you raced after your best friend to school. Denki had always been pretty slow, but today he seemed to have a bounce in his step. "Well someone's happy today," you said acknowledging is eagerness to go to school, which was highly unusual, considering his grades. "What? I can't be happy?"  "No that's not it, it's just that it's not normal, that's all". "So you're telling me I'm not usually happy?" he said cocking his head and giving you a sad look. You laughed. He was such a goofball. Your short conversation was quickly interrupted by Mina running up to you jumping up and down. 

 "Y/n! Have you asked anyone out to the dance yet?" she asked, giving you a smug look and glancing at Bakugou. You sighed. You and Bakugou had never dated or even flirted, but each of your friends loved to tease you two, mainly upsetting Bakugou the most. 

 "Tch, when will you guys stop trying to get me with Bakugou? I already told you I don't like him. He's just a friend." "We both know nothing good has ever come from that statement." Mina said with a wink. You rolled your eyes and smiled. You looked over at Denki, who's sorta-frown quickly turned into a bright smile. "C'mon sunshine!" Denki yelled grabbing your hand and continuing to run to school with you. 

  When lunch finally rolled around, you were starving. You didn't get time to eat a real breakfast that morning, just grabbed a snack and ran out the door. You didn't want to be late for school, and neither did Denki. Though, most of the time he didn't really care too much. He just doesn't want you to be late, because he knows how much you care about your grades and being on time.

Denki was clearly ready for lunch too. He never payed attention in class. However, today he seemed to act like he was paying attention when you glanced over at him. Strange. As the bell rang everyone ran out of class. "Why is everyone so excited about this stupid dance? I know I'm not gonna get asked out anyways" you thought to yourself. 

 Despite everyone's teasing about you and Bakugou you always seemed to have a small crush on him. It sounded stupid, and it was but you just couldn't seem to stop thinking about him sometimes. Your thoughts were interrupted by Denki waving his hands in front of you. "Helloo earth to Y/n! Are you coming to lunch with me or not?" He asked, grabbing your hand again. "Yes, sorry I was just lost in thought", you said quickly, a little flustered. 

 "Soo are you going to ask anyone to the dance y/nn?" Denki asked, giving you the same look Mina gave you. You shrugged. "No. I don't have anyone to ask, so I made plans to go with Mina and Uraraka. "Hm". He looked a hint of disappointment, but quickly said "Well dang now I can't tease you about it, sunshine." "How many times have I told you not to call me that", you said, smiling. "Well do you have a better nickname?" "Good point", you added, feeling a little defeated. 

  Just then Mina ran up to you and Denki holding what looked like a stack of pamphlets. "Guys! Guess what?" "What?" Denki asked. "Me and Uraraka are inviting everyone to our dorm for a sleepover! Can you guys come?" "Depends, when is it?" "Tonight!",  she said, squealing excitedly. You looked over at Denki, seeing if he was gonna go. He looked at you, then said, "Sure we'd love to come." Mina squealed and said "Yay!" handing you a sheet of paper decorated with alien stickers. It read: 

 "Mina's pre-dance sleepover party. Please bring: Pajamas (of course), a sleeping bag, and LEAVE PHONES AT HOME !! Sorry guys we can't have anyone being left out of the fun! P.S snacks and games will be provided by Uraraka! Thank you!" "Well this should be fun", you said as you nudged Denki after reading it. "Y-yea haha" he said sounding suspiciously nervous. "What's wrong?" "Oh nothing I'm okay!" he said. The bell rang. "Let's go to class sunshine!"
