Chris woke Felix up at 5:38 a.m. Felix rolled over towards Chris. "What's wrong Chris?" Felix asked, rubbing his eyes.
"Felix, I hate to do this to you, but I just got a call from my father. He says my mother is in the hospital. She fell down some stairs at their house." Chris said, in a worried tone.
"Oh no! I gotta hurry and get dressed, I'll be right out!" Felix said, getting up as fast as he could to go get changed. He hurried and put on a baby-blue sweater, and a pair of blue jeans.
He brushed his hair as quick as possible, and ran back out to Chris. Chris still had on the pajamas Felix gave him. "What are you waiting for? Let's go Chris, your mother will be worried!" Felix said, taking Chris's hand and dragging him to the car.
Chris watched the boy in confusion but let him come anyways.
They got in the car, and Chris started it. He checked to make sure Felix was ready, and they took off. "Chris, I know you're worried, but don't speed too much. We could get pulled over and that would take longer!" Felix said. "Sorry, I'm just really nervous." Chris said.
Felix nodded. They got there soon, and Chris grabbed two jackets from the car. He gave one to Felix and they rushed in.
"Miss nurse lady, is there anyone with the name Bang here?" Chris asked the lady at the front desk. She nodded and told him the room that Chris's mother was in.
Felix and Chris rushed into the room, and they saw Chris's mother in the hospital bed. "Mom! Are you okay? What happened?" Chris asked. His mother laughed, "Yes Chris, I'm okay. I just tripped on something going down the stairs, and fell. No biggie." His mother said.
"Oh!" Chris's mother said once she saw Felix. "Who's this young man?" She added. She motioned Felix to come over to her. He walked over to the lady, and smiled. "Hello miss!" Felix said. "This, is Felix." Chris said.
Chris's mother looked at Felix real good, looking at every part of his face, she checked all of his freckles, and even the color of his eyes.
"Wow, you're a pretty boy Felix. Much like Chris." She said. Felix smiled more, looking back at Chris. Chris smiled back at him. "What are you doing here with Chris at almost 6 a.m.?" Chris's mother asked. "Oh, Chris was at my house when he received your call. He woke me up, and I came with him." Felix said.
"Why were you at his house Chris? And why did you wake your pretty friend up during his sleep?" Chris's mother asked.
"We got dinner last night, and ended up back at his place. I didn't want to leave without saying anything and he just tagged along." Chris said, knowing his mother would tease him or something.
They ended up being there for two hours. Chris's mother was telling Felix stories about things Chris had done in the past. Eventually, Chris had been embarrassed enough.
"Alrighty then, we gotta run. We have a very busy schedule." Chris said. "What? We aren't doing anything today?" Felix said, confused. "Welp, we do now because I don't want to be embarrassed anymore!" Chris said. Felix laughed, and so did Chris's mother. "Oh, you're right. I will probably be leaving soon anyways." She said.
Chris gave his mother a hug, and so did Felix. They walked out of the room together, and went to Chris's car. "That was fun, your mother is really nice!" Felix said. Chris agreed, and they drove back to Felix's house.
When they got there, Chris got all his stuff, and put it in his car. "I should probably go. I'll give you the pajamas later." Chris said. Felix hugged Chris. "Will you be back at the café on Monday?" Felix asked. "I sure will!" Chris said. They hugged again, and Chris left.
