I got back to my room and sank to the floor. I had nearly had an anxiety attack, but thankfully I knew ways of stopping them before they fully started. Once I caught my breath I went to my wardrobe, changed into a tee and sweatpants, climbed the stairs to my bed, and waited for sleep to claim me as its own.
My eyes shot open once again. Another nightmare, great. I sighed as I got up from my bed and stretched. It was then that Day came bursting in and started looking for something. I could only assume it was me, “Hey, I’m up here.”
“Okay, I know you can’t tell when you shift in your sleep, but do me a favor and put a mirror across from your bed.”
I padded down the stairs now knowing I had shifted into my lion form while I was asleep. I looked up at Day grinning and knowing he didn’t take a liking to animals with sharp teeth. Even though I am his sister I understand why he is scared. There have been many shifters that have shifted and never left their animal bodies, because they went rapid. I shifted back into my elf form, the grin still on my face. “What’s up?” I said walking over to my closet and shutting the door to change.
“Why didn’t you tell me you knew who to flirt? I mean Crystal came out of her room with that note blushing like hell. When the fuck did you get so sly?”
“One, because you didn’t ask, two, I have always been, and three, she was blushing?” I knew  I could flirt, but I didn’t expect her to be blushing. If she was blushing does that mean she feels the same about me? I asked myself as I walked out of my closet. I wore a white flannel with the sleeves rolled up, jeans with the right leg ripped off to show my flower sleeve tattoo down my leg, and my favorite black boots.
“Bitch, don’t be like that with me. I am older than you. Yes, she was blushing. Everyone is trying to get the letter from her to read it, nobody has been successful yet though.”
“Oh, you little shit,” I said when I realized he hadn’t known I was the one who wrote the letter until I told him, “Day you made a big- mistake.” I shifted back into my lion form and chased him out of my room, down the hallway, and into the hangout or the lobby. When we got into the lobby Day tripped into a corner. I cornered him then deshifted and looked down at him smiling. He got up and lunged at me.
“Holy shit, get off each other god damnit!” Dawn yells prying us off each other. Both of us were still smiling. I walked over to him and we shook hands and both started to heal.
“What the heck was that about?” Luna asked, walking over to us.
I looked at Day. We both silently agreed not to say anything. “Things…”
Everyone looked at us with questioning looks. We were both fully healed when I remembered my shift as well as Luna’s and Night’s and Crystal’s was in play. “So, should we go to our shift before people start freaking out?”
“Shit!” I heard Night say as he stood and ran to his room from beside Water, who had been reading.
“Did you really forget about the job you do every damn day?”
“Shut up would ya. Lets go.”
“You came into my family when I was ten, you should know full well that I don’t know who to do what you are asking.” I say with a smirk. Night looks at me with a deciding look on his face.
“Don’t make me spill the dirt I have on you.” He retorts back.
I look at him, my smirk growing more feline than before, “If you wish to spill the dirt I don’t doubt you have on me, I will spill a small portion of what I have on you. You see Night I have been collecting blackmail on everyone that lives in this temple for years. I have blackmail on your father and his fathers father. So with that I say, don’t test me.” When I finish I merely look to the opening of the temple, there isn’t a door, and stalk toward it only talking when I reach the drop to the land below, “Now if you don’t mind I have some things to take care of with a friend, so if you could hurry the hell up I might gain a little more patience back from the patience that was lost in mere seconds.” I look out over the drop turning around and saluting to everyone as I begin to fall. Just before I fall I see the shocked faces of the people I now call my roommates, and a girl who I feel for who was smiling, and it would seem, trying to hold back a laugh.
