“Why do I feel like none of you were informed that you’ve taken your parents' roles as Egyption gods?” I ask trying to figure out if I fucked up or not.
“Because, babe, none of us were informed. How did you find out exactly?”
Did she just call me- “I didn’t find out I was looking through files for work and saw them. They had a mark next to them, so I assumed you’d all been informed. But, I guess the council never told you. I’ll have to look into that.” When I finished I snapped and handed everyone their files including Fire and Day who had just gotten back from feeding the animals. There were a few files I hadn’t looked at, one of them was Crystal's.
“I took grandmom’s place.” Crys’s brothers looked at her.
Then Air spoke, “I took ma’s place.”
Then Water, “And I took dad’s.”
I knew about her brothers being Ptah god of creation, Air, and Nun god of water Re’s father, Water, but I had no idea that Crys was Khione. I guess that comes with ignoring her file. When everyone tried to turn the pages in their files, form the god page, to read more, I snapped and the files vanished. Though a shadow, my uncle who is dead, stirred behind me. “Alaster I know you're there, they can’t hurt you, damn radio demon.”
With that Alaster walked from the shadow looking like the demon he is, came up to me, smacked me in the back of the head, and said in a static-y voice, “Stop taking the files would you! I needed some of those.”
As he started to vanish I said, “Love you too dipshit.” He smiled and vanished into thin air.
“Who or what was that?” Said Water.
Me, Fire, Dawn, Day, Night, Luna, and Crystal all said at the same time, “That was Alaster.”
Everyone looked confused so I decided to clarify by telling them, Alaster was our dead uncle. Everyone slowly nodded and went on about their day. I felt something graze my hand so I looked over and Crystal was walking to her room. I looked at my hand and there was a note. When I opened it I smiled and started walking to Crys’s room as well. Nobody was paying attention, so I was easy to leave undetected. Then I was at my girlfriend's door, slowly opening the door, to see her standing there blushing like hell. I knew the smile I had on my face was nothing other than predatory as I closed the door.
